I Need You

"Shawn?" My best friend y/n called out.

She looked around the corner and saw me sitting on my bed playing on my phone. Her eyes drenched in tears. Her hair stuck out i places. She pushed it down and sighed.

"Y/n are you okay?" I asked worried.

She shook her head and ran over to me. I engulfed her in a hug and sighed.

"Was it Korbin?" I sighed.

She nodded sobbing into my shoulder.

"he cheated on me" she hiccuped.

"HE WHAT?!" I yelled angrily.

She nodded and wiped away tears.

"Oh y/n I'm so sorry" I said pushing a lock of hair behind her ear.

She shook her head and continued to sob into her hands.

"Am I not good enough? Am I ugly, fat, mean?!" She said to me.

I looked at her with hurt eyes and sighed. She crossed her feet sitting in front of me. I handed her one of my good pillows to hug or punch or whatever. She hugged it tightly and sighed.

"I don't know what I did wrong" she said.

I looked at my fingers and sighed with her.

"Y/n, you're perfect and don't let anyone tell you different" I said feeling my heart ache.

"Then why did he cheat on me?" She asked.

"Because he's an asshole who doesn't deserve someone like you! You're smart, beautiful, and amazing!" I said grabbing her hands.

"But-"

"No buts y/n! Please listen to me!" I said cupping her face so she looked me in the eye.

"Why doesn't he love me anymore?" She whispered.

"It doesn't matter-" I sighed.

"What?"

"Because- you don't need him because-"

"Y/n!?" I heard Korbin walk into my own room.

I dropped my hands and looked up at him. I stomped over clutching his shirt and slamming him against the wall. He grunted in pain but still looked me in the eye.

"You fucking prick! How dare you cheat on    y/n! She is the greatest person to ever walk the planet and you should be grateful that you're not dead right now" I said through clenched teeth.

"Well I was gonna come tell her that I'm breaking up with her anyways!" He shouted ripping from my grip.

She looks at me and then back at him with hurt eyes. Her mouth slightly dropped and she nodded.

"Get the fuck out before I kill you!" I said pushing his shoulders.

He ran out and y/n sat on my bed. She started to sob uncontrollably letting all her tears out.

"Y/n no no it's okay" I said hugging her and petting her head.

I rocked back with her and shook my head at the thought of Korbin.

"I can't believe this" she sobbed.

I sighed closing my eyes.

"I told you, he doesn't love me. I'm horrible"

I looked at her confused, held her up, and looked deep into her eyes. Glossy from crying but still beautiful.

"You're my world" I said.

I slowly leaned in pressing my lips on hers. She scooted closer deepening the kiss. My world was just under my lips, the taste of her still lingering when she let go.
