I walked into the school doors and saw my buddy Lyall looking at his phone sadly.

"Hey man you okay?" I asked slapping his back.

"No man, you better check this out" he said handing me his phone.

It was y/n, my crush, kissing some guy. She was taken. I was so close to getting her to be mine.

"I'm so sorry bud" he sighed holding my shoulder.

I sighed and shook my head. She walked down the hallway connected to the guy she was with in the picture. She looked at me with hurt eyes and looked down at the floor. My heart felt like it was breaking. The bell rang for the last hour and I quickly jogged over to Spanish. I had y/n in this class so this wasn't gonna be fun. I slid in the seat in front of the teacher and sighed.

"Hello class" the teacher said smiling.

I closed my eyes resting my head on the desk dozing off into a different reality.

The bell rang and I ran to my jeep driving home immediately. I honestly thought she liked me but I was wrong. I climbed onto my bed feeling all my energy drained from my body. I've never felt this way about girl and now I can't even have her. I got a text from her and I quickly snatched my phone from the charger.

Y/n: are you okay?

Me: why do u care

Y/n: because you're my friend and I care about your feelings now what's wrong?

Me: nothing it doesn't matter so just leave me alone

Y/n: is it because I'm dating Wes

Me: no I could care less if dated anybody

Y/n: that's funny cause last time you told me you liked me but then took it back

Me: yeah I'm glad I did because I don't like you anymore

Y/n: whatever Shawn be an asshole I don't care bye

I sighed and threw my phone onto a chair near my bed. She was right, I was being a jerk. But how could I be happy when the girl I love is taken?...
