-Ainslee’s POV-

“I’m ready to go to the mall, Gina.” I told her as I walked down the stairs, watching my step. “Okay.” She replied, turning the TV off and getting. She grabbed her bag and keys and put on her shoes. I put mine on as well and got my bag. “Look at you! That belly of yours is twice the size it should be!” she said.

“Well, what do you expect with a future mother of three,” I replied, as we got into the car and drove, “I mean, there are so many women who say they don’t want or can’t handle more than one or two. They hire nannies and maids to watch their kids. Most of them can’t even take twins. And now, me, a first time mom-to-be that’s never even kissed a guy! Goodness…”

“That’s why I said you should get yourself a boyfriend.” Gina told me. I just punched her in the arm, “Hey! Easy! You’re still pretty strong.”

“And I’m getting stronger.”

“So, what do you have to buy?”

“Well, my Aunt Lisa gave me a list of things I should buy for the babies before they arrive.”

“Your relatives still talk to you?”

“No. My sisters still do. So does my Aunt’s family.”

“Oh…Why is it just her?”

“Well, she went through a similar predicament as me.”

“So, then the pregnant virgin things skips a generation.”

“No. I did say similar. She started dating this guy who her parents didn’t choose for her. She was my age at the time but she still lived with them. She knew her parents wouldn’t like him, so when he proposed she said yes and they eloped. She got pregnant but she was still living with her parents. One day, she got a call from her doctor and her mom picked up. That same day, she got kicked out. She was 6 months pregnant at the time. She called her husband and she moved in with him. She has three kids now, so she’s a good person to get advice from.”

“Wow, sounds tough. Well, at least she’s happy now.”

“Yeah, she is. And her kids are gorgeous.”

“I bet. So, what’s on the list?”

“Well, this is a lot of stuff.”

“Okay, go for it.”

“Okay so… (the following is an actual list)

Clothing

Suggested numbers are for a three-month period (one baby size), not the whole first year.

One-piece outfits (5 to 7)

For convenience, choose outfits that zip or snap down the front and all the way down the leg, and that open easily at the bottom for diaper changes.

Shirts (5 to 7)

Many parents prefer styles that snap at the crotch. Buy a mix of short-"

"Sounds, and looks, like a long list. Let's just read it as we shop."

“Lazy much?”

"It's going to be a lot of lifting."

"I'll carry the light stuff."

“And I'm the lazy one?”

-At the mall-

“Okay, so, let’s go to Babies R Us first.” I told Gina.

“Okay.” She replied.

We walked into the store and started looking for the things. “I got like half the stuff on the list.” Gina said, placing the stuff in the cart. “Oh good. I’d rather go to Baby Gap to get clothes.”

“Mkay.”

We went to the check out and when we were finished, we got all our stuff and went to Baby Gap. When we were done shopping there, we put our stuff back in the car, and went back into the mall and went to the food court.

“Lee, look over there, to your left, slowly.”

“What?” I replied, turning my head. I saw two guys smiling. They started walking over to us.

“Hi.” One of them said. He had brown hair and blue eyes. He was smiling at me. “Hi…”
