**Heyyy everyone!!! I feel like it's been forever since I've updated!! OMG I miss this! I hope you enjoy this chapter!!**
-Ainslee's POV-
I peeked into the living room from the stairs I was standing on. I was holding Prim while the other three were upstairs in their cribs. It's been a day but I love her more than anything. Well, besides my other little ones. "Gina. What do you want from me?" Mason asked her, as though she was in the wrong. "An apology. Something! Do you care for me? Did you even care for me back then?!" she yelled. I was sure everyone could hear her at that point. They were getting loud. "Of course I do." Mason told her. "If you care so much, why were you flirting with Em right in front of me?!" She retorted. Oooh. That's a good point. Wait, what am I doing standing hear?
"You guys." I went into the living room, smiling pleasantly as though I hadn't heard a thing. "I think it's time the babies got a bit of quiet. You and Jason wouldn't mind leaving, right? He said it's no trouble." I said to Mason. His face went from angry to compassionate. He must've understood my exhaustion. I'm the one who needed quiet. "No problem at all, don't worry about it Lee. We'll be by with some food later." He said, jokingly. I laughed. Gina, on the other hand, still looked upset. "See you later Lee. Gina." He smiled. He then called Jason.
"You saved me!" Gina whispered when he was at a distance. "I saved you? Honey, I saved myself. Anymore yelling and this babies would've joined the party!" I laughed. She smiled, "Thanks Lee." I just nodded. "Lee, baby! I am off!" Jason exclaimed, kissing my cheek. "And goodbye...which one is this cutie?" He asked. I'm surprised I can keep track of the names myself! "Primrose." I smiled. "Yes, Prim. Bye. Sweet dreams you two, or three." He winked at me and waved as he walked out the door.
"Now, that's a good guy!" Gina said. "Lee!" I heard Kiele call me as she ran down the stairs. "Can we stay with you two?" She hopped into a standing position. "Wait, what?! I thought you two said you had your own place!" I said, trying not to be too loud. Emerald shook her head, "Nope. I forgot to mention that Kiele was lying. She didn't want to make you concerned." I shook my head, "Well, do we have any room for them, Gina?" I asked, studying her face to see if she'd refuse. She just smiled, "It's actually a good idea." I looked at her, surprised.
"Why?" I asked. "Well, they haven't been disowned. And, they can help run the bakery. Which means, I get help with the bills and your store can make more money, resulting in secure support for the babies. Plus, they could help you care for them." she replied, happy with her brilliant mind. I nodded and smiled. That is so true. "Alright. We won't stay for too long, though. Maximum a year." Kiele said. "We'll see about that." Emerald retorted, earning her a glare from Kiele.
"Waah!" A screaming baby woke me up for the third time tonight. I opened my eyes and saw that it was 4:00am. Ugh, I just want to sleep. I got up and walked next door, where all the babies were sleeping...except for one. "The oldest likes attention, eh?" I smirked as I walked up to her crib. I picked her up and went into the living. "You're just hungry, baby." I smiled as I fed her my breast milk. She immediately stopped crying and was peacefully drinking.
I looked down at her and tears of joy nearly filled my eyes. She's just so beautiful. She pulled off and closed her eyes. "Looks like you're full." I whispered as I put my shirt back on. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, where Slice was showing 'Monster-In-Law'. "I love this movie..." I said, barely hearing myself. I yawned and smiled as it started.
Just then I heard footsteps come down the steps. "Someone's up early." Kiele said, sitting beside me. "Well, I had to feed Prim. And, look who's talking." I told her. "Well, first of all, I slept at 7:00pm. Secondly, I tried to help you with the babes, but they want their mom right now." she said, smiling. It was true. They were only letting me take care of them. Well, the oldest ones. The last two didn't seem to mind.
-In the Morning-
"Morning Ainslee." Emerald and Gina said, greeting me. "Morning!" I smiled. After Prim went to sleep, I got 4 hours of sleep, straight. I even had time to make breakfast; fruit salad, eggs and sausages. "How was last night?" Gina asked. "Tiring. But worth it. They looked beautiful once they slept. Plus, they seem to have gotten their blue, hazel and green eyes from my mom's side." I replied. "It's just weird that..." I said, trailing off. "That what?" Em asked. "It's weird that...well...has anyone else noticed that the kids seem to be mixed?" I asked them.
They all shook their heads. "Well, I mean, black kids are light when they're born." Kiele replied. (Just so you know, Ainslee isn't white/Caucasian. She's black/African. Despite the cover picture) "Yeah, that's true." I said, trying not to think about it. Well, I've 'survived' the first night.
