-Ainslee’s POV-

“It’s been about 2 days since I’ve been here at the hospital and let me say, they’ve been quite the few days. But today, I finally get to go home! And with the little angels God has blessed me with. You’re awesome, Ainslee. You-,” The bathroom door swung open and there stood Jason with an amused smirk on his face, “What are you doing?” He asked, smiling. I looked down at the sink, “I was just telling myself what a good job I’ve done.” He nodded, “I see. Well, there’s someone here to see you.” “Who?” I tried looking past him to get a peek, but he blocked me. “You’ll see. Come on.”

We walked out of the bathroom and he put his hands over my eyes. “What are you doing?” I asked. “It’ll make the surprise even better.” He replied. “Okay.” He removed his hands from my eyes. I opened them and there stood my sisters!! “OH MY GOD!! YOU LIVE!!” they squealed. “Kiele, Emerald!! I should be saying that considering you’re here! Mom would die if she knew!” I exclaimed. I ran up to them and we had a huge group hug. Kiele is my 19 year old sister and Emerald is 18.

“How’d you find me?” I asked, once we’d all calmed down. “We didn’t. Your friends did. Well, your friends and boyfriend.” Kiele whispered and looked over at Jason. “Oh…well, he’s not my boyfriend.” I replied. “Not yet, anyway.” Emerald said. I punched her in the arm. “Ow, that hurt.” She laughed, “Where’s Gina?” “Oh, well she-,” “Was sleeping.” Gina said. “Sorry…” I replied. “It’s fine, but you’re lucky they didn’t wake up. Hey girls!” she said, happily.

“Awesome to see you Gina. Thanks for taking care of Lee.” Kiele told her. “Of course.” She replied. “Oh, you guys wanna see the little ones?” Jason asked. “YES!!” they squealed. We went over to the four containers that held my babies. “So, what are their names?” Emerald asked. “Oh, I’m naming them today.” I told them. “Well, we can help with that. We’ll make this marble medley of babay names and wonderful juicy awesomeness that’s worshipped like the sun rises in the morning on a hot summer day.” Kiele said, all intense and whatever.We all just stared at her.

“What?” she looked at us like we were crazy. I just laughed, “Oh, by the way, does mom know you two are here?” I asked. “Yup…Well, we don’t live with her anymore…” Emerald said, looking down. “Wait, what?! What do you mean?!” Gina and I asked. “Well, here’s what happened. You see, the day you left…”

“Mom, dad! We’re home!” I called out as I walked inside. I took off my shoes and put them in the foyer. Emerald did the same and we walked into the dining room, “So what’s for...dinner…?” Emerald and I stopped in our tracks. Our parents looked up at us with tears streaming down their cheeks. “What happened in here?” I pulled up a chair and sat down. Em sat next to me and we waited for an explanation.

“Well, you know your sister-,” “Lee died?! No! No! How?! Oh my goodness!! I, just…” I burst into tears. Everyone looked at me, like, just stared at me while I bawled my eyes out. “What? No. She…” My mom stopped and shook her head. “She what? Killed someone? Sells dope. Hit an old woman and ran off with her man?” Em asked.

“Hit dat thang?” I added. Em and I started laughing. “She can’t ‘hit dat thang’ if she isn’t a dude.” Emerald said, still laughing. “Well, someone did ‘hit dat thang’, and that ‘thang’ just happened to be your sister.” My dad said. “Excusez-moi? Quoi? Que cherchez-vous à me dire, mon vieux(Excuse me? What? What are you trying to tell me, buddy)?” I asked, shocked at my dad’s language.

“Vous savez exactement ce que j'essaie de dire(you know exactly what I’m trying to say).” He replied. “Okay, can we stop it with le français, s’il vous plait? Dad, the hell man?” Emerald said, now pretty upset. “Are you trying to tell us that Lee’s not lost her virginity?” I asked. “She’s pregnant.” Mom added. “Oh, wow. Well, where is she?” We asked. “We disowned her.” My father said, proudly. The hell’s wrong with these old bats?
