You and your classmates approach the town square, where the siren had been spotted. You turned to your teacher.

"Alright, the siren has been seen in multiple areas of town, were going to have you in groups. Kamiki and Miwa, Suguro and Moriyama, (L/N) and Okumura, Shima, you'll be on your own." I froze. I was teaming up with Rin.

We had split up in our groups and Rin and I were headed towards the town center.

"So your new to True Cross, huh?" Rin asked. "Huh? Oh. Yeah, I am. How long have you been here?" I asked because I didn't know what month it was. "About 3 months now. It's pretty hard at first, but now I'm a straight A student" I knew that was a lie. According to the manga and anime, Rin pretty much just slept through classes. "Liar. I've seen you sleep through classes all the time." You joked. "Haha, yeah. My dad just passed away and I haven't been getting much sleep." You forgot. Father Fujimoto died in the series.

"I'm sorry to hear about that. Must've been hard." "Yeah. It's been pretty tough. I always thought of him more as an old man then a father. I regretted it after his death."

You knew Rin was sad over his dad's death, but you didn't know he was that upset.

"He must've been pretty special to you. I'm sorry " I said as a screech hit my ears. The siren. You saw a beautiful girl running towards you, screeching. You and Rin both covered your ears. When you uncovered them, your palms had blood on them. You saw her transform into a demonic looking bird.

The monster soared towards you as a green shield appeared around you and Rin, who was slightly drawing Kurikara. You nearly fan girled. You saw a green glow emitting from your necklace. You knew it had protected you. As the siren hit the barrier, it's soul flew into the necklace. You blacked out shortly after.
