You awoke a few days later in your hospital bed. Noticing your surroundings, you sat up. A pain erupted in your stomach where you were stabbed. You saw stitches going across your belly. 'The surgery!' You thought as you heard a knock on the door. "Come in." You said, trying to avoid the pain. The door opened with a creak. Shiemi ran in and hugged you. "(Y/N)! I was so worried!" Shiemi began to cry as you hugged her back. "Don't ever do anything like that again!" She shouted. "What are you, my mom?" You joked with her. "Hey! That's my line!" You looked back at the doorway to see Rin standing there, hands in his pockets. You were so happy to see him, you almost jumped out of your bed. But you were also sad. Why had he saved you? You didn't believe you deserved to live. (#grellsutclif) Rin walked over to you and sat down on the bed. "Are you okay? Do you remember anything?" He asked worryingly. "I'm alright. Did she hurt you?" You were the one sitting in the hospital bed, but Rin was who you cared about most.

"Shiemi, can you leave us alone for a sec?" Rin asked the blonde. Shiemi obeyed and closed the door behind her. "What's wrong?" Rin asked. You couldn't hold back anymore. Tears began leaking from your eyes. "Why? Why did you save me? I almost hurt Yukio. And I nearly killed you!" You began sobbing as you felt Rins lips against your own. They were soft and warm. As you sunk in, Rins flames erupted from his body once more. As you parted lips, you looked up at Rin's sweet smile. "Because that wasn't you." Rin said sweetly as he looked deep into your (e/c) eyes. You giggled. "You're flaming up again." You pointed out. Rin looked at his arm that was shrouded in the blue fire. He blushed when he looked back up at you. You smiled back. "Don't blush! You'll make me think your adorable!" (which he is) you teased him. "Hey! Don't call me cute!" "But you are." You heard the door open behind Rin. Yukio entered the hospital room as Rin's flames died down.
"(Y/N). I'm afraid I have some bad news." Yukio said, looking at a clipboard. Deep down you knew his words were gonna hurt. "You need to wake up, right now." What?

You awoke with tear stained cheeks in a dress. The dress you wore on your birthday. You were on your knees, your arms on the bed which must've been where your head was resting. You looked down at your necklace. Pink with blue specks on the bottom. Was it all....a dream?

You awoke the next morning with a heavy heart. You couldn't believe it was all a dream. You fell in love and had a crushed heart because of it. You looked at your Blue Exorcist poster and approached it slowly. Rin, being the main character, was up front and had the biggest image. You began to weep softly. "Why...? Why did you have to go...?" You gave a small kiss to the large picture. "I still love you. Even if you were a dream." BZZZZZZ
You heard a buzz come from your bed. You noticed from the obnoxious noise that it was your phone. You unlocked the passcode, clicked on the messaging app, and felt your heart swell and tears flow.
