Liam steps out and hits his feet on the concrete parking lot.

His step-dad waves goodbye and drives off, leaving him at the school. It was the first day back since Spring Break.

"Liam!" Scott called out.
Liam turned around to face Scott, his alpha.

"Scott, what's up?" He asked.

"Just a reminder that there's a pack meeting tonight," Scott said. Liam nodded.

He knew why Scott was reminding him.
Liam had been so busy lately, and missed
a couple. He knew it was important, but he always forgot about it.

"Alright, see you there," Scott said as he walked away and into the front doors. Liam followed a few seconds after, giving Scott a head start.

Liam walked to his locker and put his only binder with him in there, then grabbed his books for first period and shut his locker, looking to his left.

"Kill me," Liam groaned. The boy next to him shut his locker.

"Dunbar. Fancy meeting you here," the boy said.

"What the hell are you doing here Brett?" Liam asked the taller boy.

"I transferred. There a problem?" He asked.
Liam nodded.

"Hell yes there is a problem," the beta answered.

Brett laughed.
"My my, such language for a sophomore," he snickered.

"How about you leave me alone," Liam suggested.

Brett snatched the paper from Liam's locker, which happened to be his schedule.

"Well, it'll be hard, I have five classes with you," the boy smiled.

Liam rolled his eyes.
"It won't be that hard," he said and walked away from the taller boy.

"Well would you at least tell me where Biology 2 is?" Brett asked the beta.

Liam groaned.
"Follow me," he said dejected.

The boys walked into the biology class and Liam took a seat towards the back of the room.

"Brett Talbot, right?" Mr. Allen asked. Brett nodded and the teacher signaled him to sit next to Brett, since no one was sitting there.

"Mr. Allen, Brooke doesn't have a partner," Liam suggested.

He laughed. "Neither do you," he answered.

Brett faced Liam.
"Trying to get rid of me?" Brett asked.

"Trying to avoid you," Liam corrected.

It was lacrosse practice for Liam once school ended, so he headed down to the locker room to find no one else than Brett talking to Coach.

"What did I do, Lord?" Liam mumbled to himself. Brett looked back at Liam quickly and smirked.

"Put this on," coach handed him a jersey, "and let's see what you've got."

Brett took the jersey and walked over to a locker that he was assigned.

Liam couldn't help but turn around.
He didn't want to see Brett shirtless ever.

"C'mon boys, get out there," Coach said as the boys hustled out of the locker room.

"Dunbar, goalie. Talbot, give it a whirl," Coach ordered.

Liam walked over to the goalie box and put his helmet on.

Before Brett went, he smirked.
Coach blew the whistle and Brett ran towards the net.

Once he got fifteen feet away from the goalie, he swung the ball towards Liam but the beta caught it in his stick.

"Nice catch, Liam," Coach complemented.
Liam nodded and Brett jogged back, trying again. Coach blew the whistle and Brett ran up to Liam again, swinging his stick.

This time, the ball hit short of Liam's knee, causing him to miss the catch.

"Talbot, right? Nice," he said as Brett smirked.
Liam rolled his eyes at how he was praising him.

The boys played two games and after, they walked back into the locker rooms to change.

Liam overheard Coach tell Brett he got the spot.

"Alright, Coach," Brett said as he walked over to his locker and peeled his jersey off, changing back into his clothes. Once he was done he walked over to Liam, who was still in the process of putting his shirt on.

"Hey, teammate," Brett smiled.
Liam rolled his eyes.

"What do you want?" Liam asked.
"Well first we can hangout," Brett suggested.

Liam laughed.
"No way in hell," he answered.

"Good thing we're on Earth," Brett replied.
Liam growled.

"Just you wait, Dunbar," he said as he walked out of the locker room, leaving Liam alone.
