*One Month Later* - Last Day of School - end of the day.

Brett.

"Brett, Brett, Brett," Liam said as he shut his locker.

"Yes?" I said.

"It's the last day of school!" He said, jumping up and down and looking stupid while doing so.

"So I've heard a thousand times," I said and laughed.

He grabbed his backpack and throw it over his shoulder and then he turned to face me.

"Let's go summer!!" He said. I laughed again.

We started walking towards the front doors and got into my car.

"Your house?" I asked. Liam nodded and I started the car.

A few minutes later we pulled up to his driveway.

"Done with school for a while now," I said, relaxed.

He opened up his door and nodded.
"I'm so glad I can sleep in late now," Liam said. I laughed and nodded in agreement.

Once we opened the front door, my mom greeted us from the kitchen.

"Hi boys," she said, glancing towards us from across the hall.

"Hey mom," Liam said. I said hello quickly after.

"I just got done making lunch if you guys are hungry," she said. Liam looked at me and I nodded, grinning.

We walked into the kitchen and sat at the table.

"So how was your last day?" She asked me.

"Thanks mom," Liam said.

"Well I was directing it to both of you, I just happened to look at Brett while saying it," she said.

"My day was good, thank you for asking," I said. I still wasn't completely comfortable to tell her the truth, so I answered politely.

"Liam?" She asked.

"Boring, slow, I hate school," he answered.

"It's over for a few months though," she said, ruffling his hair.
I grinned at him as his hands ran towards his head to fix what she messed up.

Once Liam and I ate we went upstairs.

"We need to make a list of things to do this summer, and of course cross them off as we go," Liam asked. I nodded.

"That sounds like a good idea. Anything specific?" I asked, pulling out my phone to write them down in notes.

"Well we obviously have to go to the beach."
"Mhm."
"And of course go to festivals."
"Yeah"
"Picnics."
"Sure."
"Drive-ins."
"Yup."
Sleeping under the stars."
"Why not?"
"Skinny dipping." He grinned.
"Of course," I said, smirking.
"Sex with Brett Talbot for the first time."
"Now we're getting dirty," I said, laughing.

He blushed and laughed along.

"We should go to parties, too," he said.
I nodded and wrote it down in my phone.

"And amusement parks," Liam said.

"And frozen yogurt dates,"
"And ice cream dates,"
"And smoothie dates,"
"And coffee dates,"
"And shopping dates," Liam rambled on and my thumbs typed across the screen.

"I think that's a pretty good list so far," I said.
He shrugged.

"I just really want this summer to be amazing," Liam said. I nodded in agreement.

"It will be," I said, encouraging him.
He smiled and nodded slightly.

"With you it will be," Liam said. I laughed and smile.

"But hey, don't just ditch Scott and Derek when they need you most," I said.

"I know, I won't," he said.

"Alright.. How are we starting our summer?" I asked him.

He grabbed my phone and looked at the list.
"Let's go get frozen yogurt," Liam said.

"Okay," I said. We sat up from the bed, stunned how ten seconds ago we didn't have anything planned but now we did and we really didn't know what to do.

"Let's go, then," Brett said, which was a reality check for the both of them and they started walking downstairs.

We got in the car and Liam played music from his phone. He opened a summer playlist he made in the winter.

Sleepyhead: Passion Pit.

"I love the song," I said. Liam nodded.

We rolled down the windows and let the hot summer breeze in the car.

Once we got there, Liam grabbed his phone and I shut off the car and opened the door, meeting Liam outside.

"Let's go get some coffee," I said as I shut my door.

We walked into the air conditioned building, which felt nice compared to the heat from outside.

"Could I get one white chocolate frappe?" Liam asked.

She nodded and turned to me as I glanced at the menu board.

"Make that two," I said.

We sat down and waited for our drinks to be called up.

Once they were we walked back to our table and talked about the summer and what we wanted to do, besides the list. Every so often one of us would say a really good idea and I would type it into my phone.

Soft music played in the background of the coffee shop. I think it was 505 by Arctic Monkeys.

Liam hummed softly as he looked around the coffee shop.

I couldn't help but find myself smile.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing. You're just so adorable. And all mine."
