It was starting to warm up. It was May 7th, and the flowers were going to come out soon. It would be summer shortly, and then Liam and I would be out of school.
"What are we going to do today?" Liam asked. It was a Saturday and I promised him we would do something special today, just for fun.
We've both been busy studying for the upcoming tests that basically determine if we can get into a good college or not, even though that's a few years away still. We haven't had much time together, and Liam was getting worried we were slowly drifting.
I assured him that wasn't the case by trying to spend more time with him in between studying and school.
"We are going to get lunch at the cafe downtown and then we're going to walk around down there since there's a festival going on today," I said. Liam smiled.
"Cool, that sounds fun. I'm going to go take a shower and then we can go," he said. I nodded and Liam left the room.
I got a call.
"Hello?" I said. The number was our area code, but I didn't recognize it.
"Brett, correct?" The voice said. It was a girl.
"Yeah, who is this?" I asked.
"I'm surprised you don't remember my voice. We use to be very good friends," she said.
"I'm sorry, you must have the wrong number," I said.
"Brett Talbot. Dating Liam Dunbar. You live in California. You got to Beacon Hills, only after getting kicked out of DP," the girl said.
I froze.
"Alright, you don't have the wrong number.
Can you just please give me a name?"
"No, I don't think I can do that. But you can meet me somewhere," she said.
I laughed.
"If you won't tell me, it's obviously not important. Now if you don't mind, I have to go," I said rudely and ended the call.
"Who was that?" Liam asked, standing by the bedroom door. I didn't even notice him.
"Liam, you scared me," I laughed, "and that wasn't anyone important."
Liam didn't believe it.
"Alright, whatever you say," he said.
I nodded and smiled weakly.
He quickly put a shirt on and grabbed his phone.
"Ready?" Liam asked. I nodded and grabbed my phone also.
