I'm truly sorry. I didn't mean to do this to y'all.
Liam.
"I just don't see what the big deal is," I said as we drove to the movie.
"I just don't think you should be talking to other guys," Brett said, trying not to get upset, but we were both past that.
"I wasn't. Brett, you of all people know I'm always going to be loyal to you," I said, looking at him as he drove.
He stared out ahead and continued to drive.
"I know, Liam. But the way you two were talking, it just seemed like so much more. I didn't mean to make you mad," he said.
"Well you should've tried a little harder," I snapped, trying to keep my wolf side down.
"C'mon, we'll talk about this later. Can we just have a good night right now?" Brett asked.
"Yeah," I said, getting out of the car as he parked.
"This is how we're going to have a good night," I said before I shut the door.
I glanced at him with sorry eyes before I headed onto the rode again, going back home on foot."Wasn't even talking to Mason like that," I mumbled to myself.
It began to rain. I looked up and sighed.
"You got to be kidding me," I said.
I started walking a little faster.I heard a car slow down behind me. The headlights gave me a shadow stretching on the rode.
"Liam, let me take you home," Brett said.
I didn't turn back, just shook my head and kept walking."It's raining, you're going to get sick," Brett said.
"Wolves hardly get sick," I said.
"Liam, just please get in the car. I'll take you home and give you as much space as you want," Brett said to me.
"Please. I just want you to be safe," he said.
I turned to face him, and decided to get in.
"I'm getting in because I'm cold, not because I care what the hell you think," I said at him, looking out the window of the door.
He sighed and began to pick up speed. Soon we were pulling up in front of my driveway. He turned to face me when I didn't get out.
"Do you want me to help with the blankets," he asked. My eyes stayed down at my shoes.
"No," I mumbled.
I turned to face him.
"If you can't trust me, I don't ever want to talk to you again," I said. His eyes looked glassy, and like the life has been taken out of him.
I got out of the car and grabbed a blanket and pillow from the back.
"Lose my number," I said angrily.
As mad at I was, I felt my eyes get watery. Either a tear or a raindrop fell down my cheek.
I stood there for a minute, trying to think of what just happened. My mind was blank. He was gone. And it should've bothered me. But I guess it didn't as much as I thought it would.
I walked inside my house. My mom called out my name.
"Yeah, Mom," I answered.
"What are you doing home?" She asked, "and where's Brett?"
"He left. We had an argument," I said.
"Liam, I'm sorry," she said, and it sounded like she actually did, but I just shrugged and went up to my room.
Why did this not bother me like it should?
