Chapter Twenty One

*One Month Later*

"LAST DAY OF SCHOOL BRETT," Liam said as he held onto his boyfriends shoulder as they walked down the hallway, walking towards the lunch room. Brett laughed and rolled his eyes.

"You're really excited aren't you?" Brett asked the boy.

"Well of course I am. Can you name anyone who's not?" Liam asked. Brett shrugged.

"I guess I can't," he said. Liam laughed.

"Exactly. NO SCHOOL FOR LIKE THREE MONTHS!" Liam shouted.

"I'm excited, but I think you're going a little overboard here," Brett said.

"Yeah, right into the water where I can swim my worries away," Liam said, causing them both to laugh. Brett took a seat down and Liam followed in his actions, sitting next to him.

Brett turned to listen to the conversation their friends Alex and Mason were having.

"I'm not even straight, why would she ask that?" Mason asked. Alex laughed and put her hands up in defense.

"It wasn't me who said it," she said.

"Did Jade ask you out again?" I asked Mason.

He nodded and laughed.

Liam and Mason hadn't talked as much as they use to, but Liam was definitely going to make time for him over the summer.

Brett turned to face Liam and smiled.

"What?" Liam said as he took a bite of pizza.

"I'm just really happy I'll have the summer with you," Brett said. Liam nodded.

"Me too," he said.

After a bit of talking-and of course eating-the bell rang and Liam and Brett got up and threw their lunch away.

Liam.

"So are you going to Derek's again?" Brett asked me. I sat my backpack down on my bed next to him.

"I think I will later this week. They have a plan," I said. He nodded. He lay down on the bed and sighed, throwing his head back on the pillow on my bed.

"I'm just so tired," he mumbled.

"That's 'cause you've been working so hard," I said.

He nodded.
"Probably."

"If you want to sleep, you can," I said.

"Not without you," he said, keeping his eyes shut.

"It's my turn to get stuff done. I have a history project I need to work on," I said.

"When's it due?" He asked.

"May 22nd," I said.

"That's still forever from now! Just come sleep for a few minutes, please," he whined.

"Only because I'm tired of hearing you complain," I said. I took my backpack off the bed and Brett moved over towards the wall.
I took my shirt off and got under the blankets.

"Thank you," Brett said.

"Whatever," I said, smiling into his chest.

A/N- okay next chapter may or may not be more exciting. I think I'm going to have like a month skip forward so that school is out because everything good happens in summer, y'know?
