Y/N P.O.V
The sun illuminated the room around me, where I slept the night before. A high-pitched yawn escapes my dry lips. The blanket hugs my figure as I cling to them desperately, pleading for any sleep the day could grant me, but besides my demands, my eyes flutter open to reveal blurry shapes of a room, my fingers then brushed against my eyes to reveal a large Victorian Window decorated with intricate sculpting of blackened leaves, I whip my head around to see the rest of the room. A black trunk lay at my ankles and a black and white striped blanket coiled around my body, a doorway that stood ajar revealing what looked like to be an elegant bathroom and another door that held thousands of clothes and accessories, enough to make a dead girl's heart beat once more, figuratively speaking anyway. 'Where on Earth am I?' my thoughts echoed throughout my head as I pushed the blanket down towards my ankles, I crawled towards the foot of the bed and looked down towards the door that probably lead out into the rest of the house. "Hmmm..." I voiced staring towards it curiously, as I exhaled I turned to get out of bed when a white blur landed on my face pushing me to the floor, I yelped as I swatted the spectrum away, then landing with a large bang to the floors, directly on my butt that now was stinging with the red-hue of blood-force trauma. An undersized dog with long white fur stuck his head out from under the bed, slightly cowering at my loud yelp that probably hurt his sensitive ears.
"Who-who are you?" I stated fearfully with a rasping voice , admittedly it sounded braver in my head at the time. The little dog slowly crept from under the bed, the long white fur swished as the ghost dog flew closer enquiringly, his glowing red nose taking a whiff of my outstretched hand as he eyed me peculiarly, his eyes then switched momentarily from worried into a playful glance as he merrily licked away at my hand, moving his silky tongue so that it tickled the soft skin of my hand. I began to scratch along his transparent body compassionately as I noticed a blue collar with the name 'Zero' engraved on its rimming.
"Hello there, Zero. Nice to meet you, my name is Y/n." I greeted Zero as I scratched his head in circles, his back legs thumping against the floors noisily. I giggled merrily in response as two pounding footsteps sounded from outside my door; I instantly grew silent as a reaction to this.
An unsuspecting voice called out from behind my door, the voice sounding so gentle for a Halloween Town citizen, "Zero? Where are you boy?" As soon as this voice called for Zero, he flew beyond my reach until he went through a wall obediently to his master's command. I quietly walked towards the door and put my ear onto its smooth surface, eavesdropping on the unknown master.
"Did you make that loud thud? Remember I told you to keep quiet when we have a guest." The master asked Zero quizzically in curiosity, then recalling to Zero what he previously told him. I silently gasped as I heard him mention the word 'guest', so I wasn't a prisoner, but then why am I here and not with Oogie, even though I'm not complaining, Oogie doesn't provide the best company anyway. I silently curved my fingers over the doorknob and pulled it open, peeking my head out of the doorway and letting my hair drape beside me. My eyes beheld a sight of Zero at the feet of a large monster, I had only seen the back of the monster, but I already knew that he towered over me like a giant.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry to disturb you, but I'm actually the one who made that thud." I expressed a small red tint on my cheeks from embarrassment as the monster stiffened his shoulders and then turned to face me. Like I said, he towered over me with a polite smile on his face, a pail complexion of bone as I realised he was in fact a skeleton. He wore a striped suit that clung to his bones tightly and a petrified bat made itself comfortable as it sat upon his chest as a bowtie.
