Chapter 34 - Surrender

*Niall's P.O.V.*

"Mum, can you please not mention the Romano's around Skye?" I asked while we waited for her to show up. Today my Mum, Chris, Greg, Denise, Skye and I are going to a water park.

"Why?" She asked.

"Let's just say, if anyone knows how terrible the Romano's are, it's her"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Greg asked.

"Don't you remember who Ryder raped?"

"The media never said who it was. They just said that she was a minor" Mum told me.

"It was Skye" I said, looking towards the entrance of the water park to see if Skye had showed up.

"What?!" Greg said.

"Why didn't you tell me before? Now I feel bad for the things I was saying yesterday!" Mum exclaimed.

"I forgot to tell you" I replied.

"Wait a minute, isn't Skye the friend of Alicia's that you thought was hot?"

"Yeah, but she isn't friends with Alicia anymore. They kinda hate each other"

"Oh look, she's here" Chris told us.

I looked back at the entrance to see Skye walking towards us.

"Hey" I greeted.

"Hey" she replied.

"Have fun, just meet us right here at five. Okay?" Mum told us.

"Okay" everyone agreed before we split up.

"Why are you wearing a tank top and shorts? Everybody else is wearing bathing suits" I asked Skye.

"I'm not going to ride in a car with my cousin wearing nothing but a bikini" she replied. "Will you hold this for a second?" She asked, handing me a drawstring backpack.

"Sure" I replied, confused. She removed her tank top and shorts, revealing her bikini that looked like The Little Mermaid, and placed her clothes in the bag.

"I brought some sunscreen so you won't burn your pasty skin" she told me.

"Look who's talking" I replied, gesturing towards her pale skin. "I love that bikini by the way"

"Thanks" she said, blushing.

"Wanna go on that one?" I smirked, pointing to the biggest ride in the water park.

"No!"

"Why not?" I asked innocently, pretending I didn't know she didn't like heights.

"It's so big!"

"That's not the first time a girl's said that to me before" I joked, making her blush and playfully punch my arm. I laughed in response.

"That's probably not the first lie Alicia told you" she smirked.

"Oh, so it's gonna be like that, huh?" I said, tickling her.

"No, stop!" She said, swatting my hands away.

"Let's ride that one" I said, wrapping my arms around her and kissing her temple. "It doesn't look too bad"

"Yeah, a lot better than the last one you tried to talk me into"

"Let's go"

It was nearly time to meet the others by the entrance and Skye and I have ridden most of the rides, I even managed to talk her into the ride she didn't want to go on in the first place.

"I hate you so much" she said after we got off of the ride.

"I don't think I've ever heard anyone swear so much before in my life" I told her, laughing.

"Not even you?" She shot back.

"Not even me" I replied before looking down at my phone. "We should probably start heading back towards the entrance" I told her.

"Alright" she replied. I grabbed her hand and we started back towards the entrance. "I've never been more terrified in my life. I'm surprised I didn't pee!"

"I know! I think I'm gonna have marks from your nails on my arm forever" I told her, looking at my arm.

"I'm sorry! It's your fault for talking me into it!"

"It's fine. Seeing your reaction was worth it" I laughed.

"It's not funny!"

"You're right. It's fucking hilarious!" I laughed. She pulled her hand away from mine and crossed her arms and started pouting. "Aww, babe, don't be sad" I said in a baby voice, wrapping my arms around her.

Soon we walked up to the spot where my family agreed to meet up now that it's five.

"Damn Niall! You have so many tattoos it looks like your wearing a shirt" Greg told me, making me laugh.

"Alright, now that everybody's here, we're going to get some food before we go home" Chris announced.

"Yes! I'm starving!" I replied.

"Oh god, I hope you brought a couple hundred dollars to cover Niall's bill" Skye joked.

I responded with a mocking laugh before we left.
