Chapter 7 - Always Be Together

*Skye's P.O.V.*

Finally it was time for lunch. I sat down at the same table I usually sit at and started eating.

Suddenly, I heard someone sit down beside me. I looked up and saw it wasn't Niall. It was...

"Monique?"

"Hey girl" she replied.

Monique grew up in the Bronx until a few years ago, when they moved here because her mom got a job. She was friends with Alicia, Lindsey and I before she moved to California this summer.

"I thought you moved to California" I told her.

"My cousin got in a car accident and was in a coma, so my mom and I went to California, where they live, while he was in the hospital. He woke up from his coma last week and is temporarily paralyzed. We were going to come back Wednesday, but our flight was canceled" she told me.

"Monique?" Niall asked when he sat down at the table.

"You sound like Niall, but you sure don't look like him" she replied.

"I... changed over the summer" he told her.

"Changed is a bit of an understatement" she commented. "Are you still dating Alicia?"

"No"

"Alicia and I aren't friends anymore either" I told her.

"Yeah, I heard about that" she said. "That was a seriously fucked up situation. I can't believe Alicia and Lindsey are taking it out on you"

"Yeah, me too" I said, Niall looking confused.

"Um... can I sit here?" A brunette boy with green eyes asked.

"Sure, why not?" I said. He sat down and started to eat.

"Are you Percy Robinson?" Niall asked.

"Yeah, how'd you guess?" He replied.

"Your dad works with my brother"

"Oh, okay"

"Where are you from Percy?" Monique asked.

"Seattle"

"That's cool. Does it rain a lot?"

"Yeah, all the time"

Percy told us about Seattle for a while until the lunch bell rang.

"Do you have to work tonight?" Monique asked me.

"No" I answered.

"Cool, then let's hang out later. We can meet up at Mickey D's"

We all agreed and went to our classes.

When I got to class I sat down in the back next to Monique, who had the same class.

"Niall looks so different. I barely recognized him" she told me.

"I know! I barely recognized him when I first saw him a week ago" I told her.

"He still acts the same"

"Yeah, but he gets angry easy" I told her.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'm actually kinda afraid of him" I confessed.

"Why? Niall wouldn't hurt a fly. Someone would have to really piss him off for him to hurt them"

"I know, I think it's the tattoos. They're kind of intimidating"

"Yeah, but they're also kinda sexy. Don't you think so?" She asked me.

"I don't know, I guess" I answered, feeling myself blush.

"You do like him! I knew it!"

"No, I don't" I said, laying my head down on my desk to hide my blush.

"You're such a bad liar" she told me before we started doing our work.

By the way, Monique doesn't have a crush on Niall. She said his tattoos were sexy to get Skye to admit she likes him.
