Chapter 14 - Dark Horse

*Skye's P.O.V.*

I woke up and looked at my phone, noticing that today is Saturday.

I wonder if Niall's still coming over. I haven't really said much to him, Monique or Percy since Wednesday.

I got up and took a shower before returning to my room.

I started to walk to my closet to pick out my clothes for the day when my phone vibrated.

I went over to my bed and picked up my phone, reading the message from Monique.

M: What's up with you lately?

S: What do you mean?

M: You've been distant.

S: I'm fine.

M: No you're not, I can tell.

S: It doesn't matter.

M: Yes, it does.

S: No, it doesn't.

M: Just tell me!

S: Fine! I've been having a bad week.

M: Liar.

S: I'm not lying! Ever since Wednesday I've had a bad week.

M: Is it because of Alicia?

S: Sorta...

M: Girl, I thought you knew better than to listen to that skank!

S: It isn't because of what she said!

M: Then what?

S: It's nothing...

M: Tell me.

S: No.

M: Tell me!

S: Fine! Do you remember what we talked about when you came back?

M: About you liking Niall?

S: Yeah.

M: I remember that, what about it?

S: Well Wednesday I noticed that Niall still loves Alicia.

M: How did you notice that?

S: I could see it in his eyes.

M: How did that make you have a bad week?

S: 'Cause I'm super jealous!!!!

M: Someone's got a crush!

S: We've established this already.

M: Why are you angry with me?! I didn't do anything!!

S: Sorry, I've been bitchy all week.

M: That's an understatement.

S: 😠

M: I'm kidding!

S: I know...

M: You know Niall will never admit that he still loves Alicia.

S: Yeah, I know, but it's true.

M: I know, I believe you.

S: He'd get pissed if we even asked.

M: I know! Remember last Friday?

S: Yeah, that was crazy!

M: I know!

Before I could reply she text me again.

M: I gotta go, my mom wants to go shopping before the concert.

S: Okay, bye

M: Bye

I started to do my makeup when there was a knock at the door.

I walked out to the living room and opened the door.

"You're early" I said to Niall.

"No I'm not, it's 1:30"

"Oh, I must've slept until noon"

"Nice towel" he joked, stepping into the living room. I looked down, realizing I never changed.

"Shit" I replied. "Do you mind staying out here for a minute while I get dressed?"

"No, I don't mind" he replied, sitting on the couch.

"Okay, I'll be right back" I told him.

I went into my room and threw on a pair of jeans and a shirt before Niall joined me in my room.
