Eva's POV

I woke up to the sound of a machine beeping and a tiny hand playing with my fingers.

When I opened my eyes, my heart melted at the sight.

Gabriel was right by my bed and sleeping in a chair. His face a pressed into the bed and he was slightly drooling. One of the twins sat in his lap and was unconsciously playing with my fingers as he slept.

When I pried my hand from his little grip, he started to stir.

"Eva?" He asked sleepily.

"Hey Buddy" I said quietly. His eyes widened and he grinned a huge grin. I looked at him in confusion. Why was he smiling.

"You're finally awake!!" He said before trying to shake Gabriel. When Gabriel didn't stir, Greyson slapped him. I choked on a laugh when Gabriel jumped up and started cursing in Spanish.

Upon hearing my giggle, Gabriel stopped and looked at me wide-eyed. When he saw me giggling, he ran over and started kissing me senseless. We broke apart when Greyson pushed Gabriel out of the way.

"Ew! COOTIES!" He screamed before running out of the room. I laughed at looked at Gabriel. He was staring at me with with so much love and adoration that it took my breath away.

"Why am I here?" I asked him after a few minutes of silence. He scooted his chair closer to my bed and grabbed my hand.

"Well, after what happened with Dorothea, I took you to the hospital to get checked out. When the doctor was stitching up your wound, you started to complain that you weren't feeling good. When he began to examine you, you passed out. You were out for 3 days" he said and looked at me with a small, sad smile.

A thought came to my mind and I gasped out loud.

"You're Family!" I said "What Happened to your family!"

He opened his mouth to answer just when my hospital room was slammed opened, and the Green Clan filed in.

I counted each of them and released my breath when I realized that they were all there. To my surprise, Kaden and his parents walked in, each of them holding a little bundle in their arms.

"EVA!" They all screamed. The twins ran and jumped on my bed. Baby Grant was squirming in his father's grasp and was holding his hands out for me. I giggled when he started to pout and cry. He looked exactly like Gabriel.

"Hey sweetie, how you doing?" Mrs. Green asked me after she kissed my forehead.

"I'm good, how are you? Are you okay? Did anyone hurt you?" I rushed out. She smiled at me.

"We are perfectly fine, Gabriel explained to us what happened. Were so sorry sweetheart" she said with tears in her eyes. I looked at the other Green's and noticed that they had similar expressions. I looked at Gabriel and his expression broke my heart.

Mr. Green noticed and ushered everyone outside.

"We'll give you too a minute" he said before walking out the door with a wailing Grant and a sobbing Mrs. Green.

As soon as the door shut, I grabbed Gabriel's hand. He kissed my palm.

"Gabriel..." I started but he interrupted me.

"Marry Me" he said and I gasped.

The breath was knocked out of my lungs.

"What?" I asked quietly.

"Marry Me" he repeated "Eva, you don't know what it was liking watching you die. I swear my heart shattered into a million pieces and realized then that life was too short to wait. I want to spend the rest of my life with the woman I love and can't wait any longer. Please, Please Marry Me my sweet mate. I know this isn't the idea proposal and I promise to make it up to you but I really need to make you mine in all sense of the word. I want to scream at the top of my lungs that you're mine, I want everyone, wolf and human, to know that you're Mrs. Gabriel Green. I will wait until you're ready to walk down that aisle but I need you to accept me. Please Evangeline!" He pleaded with me and I swear I couldn't breathe.

My heart was pounding and my hands were shaking.

"Please?"

"Yes" I whispered and looked into his eyes. They brightened immediately.

"Yes?" He asked hopefully and I nodded.

"Yes Gabriel, I will Marry you. I would love nothing more than to be called Mrs. Green. I Love you and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with the man I love" I said and he kissed me. He smiled into the kiss and slipped something onto my left ring finger.

I looked down and gasped.

"This was my Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandmother's engagement ring. My Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather bought it for her after they fixed the Curse. It was passed down for generations and I asked my Mother if I could have it the other day while you were sleeping. I wanted you to have this ring because I wanted it to symbolize all the things we've been though and overcame" he explained.

"Gabriel, I can't accept this. It has too much sentimental value and looks expensive" I said and he shook his head.

"Eva, it's yours. Nothing's too expensive for you, just please accept the ring" he pleaded and I smiled.

"Okay" I said.

"Good, now if you will excuse me, I will be running up and down the halls announcing how I'm the luckiest man on earth" he said as he walked to the door with an excited grin on his handsome face.

When he opened the door, the whole Green family face planted the floor. I gave them questioning looks while Gabriel's face dawned with realization.

"Where you guys spying on us?" He asked and they all avoided eye contact. Gavin started whistling a toon and Kaden scratched his neck awkwardly.

Mrs. Green huffed and blew a breath out.

"Okay, yes we were spying but how could we not? My baby boy is getting Married!" She squealed and then started talking to her sister about Wedding Decorations. Mr. Green congratulate Gabriel and the boys came up to hug me.

After his father congratulated him, Gabriel sat next to me on the hospital bed and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I leaned into his touch and watched as everyone started chatting happily of our engagement.
