Eva's POV

My head was pounding and my eyes were seeing stars.

When I finally got them to open, I gasped.

Gabriel was slumped in the middle of two oak trees with silver chains on his wrists. I immediately ran to him, tripping on my dress twice.

"Gabriel! Gabriel Sweetie, Wake-up!" I said and tapped his face. Tears were misting in my eyes and I blinked them back before they could fall.

This is all my fault. I should have never got involved with Gabriel and his family. Because of me, he got hurt and I never wanted that to happen.

A groan brought me out of pity induced state.

"Where am I?"

"Gabriel! You're awake!" I whispered and then hugged him tightly. He groaned again and I released him quickly.

"Where am I and why do I feel like I got hit by a freight train?" He asked again.

"I don't know" I said while trying to pry the chains off his wrists.

"Well,Well,Well, isn't this cute, I must say, the drugs wore off faster than I expected" a voice sneered from behind us. I twisted and immediately stood protectively in front of Gabriel.

"Why are we here Dorothea? Why did you kidnap and drug us?" I asked and she cackled.

"You're here because it's time for you to die" she said and my eyes widened. Gabriel growled from behind me.

"Over my dead body!" He yelled and Dorothea smiled wickedly.

"Oh, that'll be arranged too, don't you worry Mutt"

"Why Dorothea? I'm your Great-Granddaughter" I pleaded with her. She cackled again before walking towards us. I backed up to protect Gabriel.

"I know child, such a waste. You're a pretty little thing. Spitting image of your father" she said and my blood turned cold.

I watched as she circled us, dragging her blood red nails against the bark of the tree and down Gabriel's shoulders. My blood was boiling and it took all my willpower to stop from pushing her hands of him. Just as I was going to step forward, she stopped me by grabbing Gabriel's hair tightly. He winced and I whimpered.

"Tsk,Tsk. Wouldn't want to do that child. Don't want your lover boy getting hurt now do we?" She asked and I glared.

"He has nothing to do with it Dorothea. If your going to kill me, just do it already. Leave him out of it" I said and bravely as I could. On the outside I was calm but on the inside I was freaking out.

"Where's the fun in that?" She asked "Now let Grandma tell you a little story"

"Once Upon a Time there were 5 sisters. The oldest of the 5 was a very beautiful and intelligent woman, she was used to getting everything she wanted. Until one day a wealthy man openly humiliated her in front of the whole town. It was so bad that the family became the laughing stock of the town. No one wanted anything to do with the family because they thought they were desperate. The girl's father lost most of his business because no one wanted to go against the man that humiliated the girl just because he was an heir to his father's Oil Company. Now tell me Granddaughter, who do you think I'm talking about?" She asked and I kept quiet. Of Course I knew who she was talking about. I heard the story before.

She must have not liked my silence because she gripped Gabriel's hair once again and he yelled out in surprise. I watched as she pulled on it so hard that some strands started falling hard.

"I'm going to ask you again, who do you think I'm talking about?" She sneered.

"You're talking about Gabriel's great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather!" I shouted. "I heard this story before! Now leave him alone" I cried and she grinned wickedly before releasing Gabriel's hair.

She quickly approached me and gripped my chin tightly. Gabriel growled threatening behind her.

"No child, you heard the mutt's point-of-view, not mine" she said "once the news of the girl's rejection spread, she was no longer pursued by any wealthy men again. They all thought she was a gold-digging, heartless, and desperate woman. She had to settle down with a poor man and her life was miserable" she said with a faraway look before looking me in the eye. "And do you want to know who that girl was?"

I stayed quiet but she continued on. "That girl was me! I was destroyed because his" she said while pointing at Gabriel "great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather humiliated me in front of the whole freaking town!" I gasped quietly.

"Impossible, that would make you-" I started but she cut me off with a evil laugh.

"Over two hundred and fifty years old?" She said and I nodded "Yes, magic has that youthful effect"

"But you're names Dorothea. My great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather wrote that the woman name was Devina" Gabriel yelled. She laughed.

"After I was embarrassed, I decided to leave town and start fresh. Word had got around that a woman named Devina got publicly humiliated by the new heir to a popular oil company, so I decided to change my name and forget the past"

"So if you wanted to leave things in the past then why are we here now? And why is Theo involved?" I asked.

"Who?"

"Theo, the guy you got to drug us" I said

"Oh, that other mutt, I need someone to help me drug you two, and carry you here. He came to me a couple of weeks ago because he thought I could lift his curse. Stupid boy, he knows nothing of Curses. No one could undo the intricate curse on his family. I must say though, it was a great curse. At midnight, when they shift, they experience excruciating pain. It's a force shift, so when the clock strikes 12, they change into their wolves and won't change back until 6 in the morning. Wonderful spell but sadly, it can't be undone. Oh well" she said with a shrug of her shoulders. "In fact, the mutt and his family should be back from killing your family by now" she said while pointing at Gabriel. His eyes widened and I cried out.

"What did you do!" He yelled and I whimpered. She grinned evilly.

"I want to eliminate all the generations of the man who ruined my life as payback. He ruin my life so I'll ruin his new generations lives"

"Isn't this your family too! Your sister did marry Gabriel's ancestor" I said. She shook her head and sneered.

"Who? Delilah? Oh don't make me laugh. She's no sister of mine. Her real parents died when she was very young and My mother thought it would be good publicity if we took her in. She's nothing but an no good dirty man stealing orphan" she spat.

"If you wanna kill me then fine, but leave Gabriel and his family out of this, Please!" I begged.

"Can't do sweetie. Anyway your time is up. Say hi to your daddy for me" she said and then closed her eyes while muttering some words.

"Let it be done,
By my will
Now it is time,
Time to kill.

It is time,
Time to die,
Now we must say goodbye
Because it is time to,
Die,Die,Die!"

She said and black started clouding my vision. I looked at Gabriel and he looked back at me in fright. I mouthed the words 'I Love You' before I hit the floor and my heart stopped.
