The disappearance of Yawgomoth remained an unresolved problem for Cignus. It was not treated as a past event, but as an active threat with unknown status. Oliver and his military could not accept that a machine of that scale, with that level of firepower, technology, and durability, was somewhere beyond their reach. Every branch of the military was given standing orders to locate it. Air patrols expanded beyond normal coverage, flying extended routes over land and sea. Naval groups swept coastlines and deep waters with constant search. Ground forces conducted wide-area searches across ruins, forests, and remote regions. Satellites were tasked to monitor for any unusual activity from above.

Despite the effort, nothing was found. There were no sightings, no signs of movement or sightings. It did not appear damaged or exploded in any way that it wouldn't left a trace behind. It simply vanished.

Months passed with the same result. The search expanded, then expanded again. Intelligence units reviewed all recorded data from the engagement, trying to find any detail that could explain how it disappeared or where it could have gone. The conclusion remained unchanged. There was no location to target. No direction to pursue.

Yawgomoth was gone.

Even so, it stayed in planning documents, in threat assessments, and in long-term projections. Every large-scale military exercise accounted for the possibility of its return. Weapons development programs began including scenarios based on its structure and behavior. The idea was simple — if it came back, they would not be caught unprepared again.

While the search continued, the political situation moved forward. The unification process between Valur and Cignus advanced into its final stage. The remaining bodies of Valur’s government were dissolved or absorbed. Local leaders were replaced or brought under direct oversight. Military units were reorganized, with former Valur forces either integrated or disbanded. Resistance had already collapsed, and no large opposition remained.

At the same time, Oliver finalized a formal agreement with Sanctium. The treaty established a mutual defense alliance, binding both sides to respond together in case of external threats. It secured Cignus position beyond the continent and reduced the chance of another unknown force appearing without coordinated response.

Soon after, the formal establishment of the Cignus Imperial Federation was declared. The transition marked a clear and massive change from a unified state into a centralized imperial nation. Oliver, who had once held the position of governor, then president, was crowned as the first emperor of Cignus.

The change was direct and without delay. Authority that had already been concentrated now became absolute. The structure of leadership no longer required layered approval or shared governance. Decisions moved faster, executed through a single command line.

The position he held was no longer one that could be left behind. What began as a temporary role had turned into permanent control. There was no simple exit from it, no path to step away without destabilizing the national unity that had been built around him.

With the new regime in place, large-scale changes began across the continent. Infrastructure projects were approved at a level never seen before. Roads, rail systems, industrial zones, and military installations expanded across former borders. Cities damaged during the war were rebuilt under new designs, mass migrations to the major cities was ordered from rural areas. Strategic locations were reinforced and connected into a single interconnected lines of never ending railway network of cignus.

At the same time, the process of assimilation began. Former nations were reorganized into administrative regions under central authority. Their previous identities were reduced in importance as standardized systems replaced local ones. Education, law, and governance were rewritten to match the ideal standard of Cignus.
