Wednesday Afternoon

You woke up once again with one of Liam's short emails. At this point, you were getting annoyed with him. Why bother sending an entire email with three simple words, 'I miss you'? If he missed you, why couldn't he tell you about his day, what's been going on with the pack, or how's he's doing. In the back of your mind you couldn't help but wonder if it was your fault he hasn't "talked" to you, because you haven't bothered to respond back to any of his emails. You were sticking to your promise, cutting off all ties with Liam. You weren't about to cave in and email him. You've been doing so well so far and you weren't about to send yourself back into the depressing hellhole.

You were serious about staying here in Paris. After talking to Jackson and Isaac, you took your GED test online and passed. You were officially done with school at the age of 17 and a junior. Now you were on your way to P's Pub to talk to Parker about the opening job position. You were still very new to Paris, so finding the pub wasn't as easy as you thought it would be despite the hand drawn map the boys gave you. After 45 minutes, you've managed to find the pub and walked in.

You noticed Parker working behind the bar, making new a drink for a girl in front of him. You sat on a stool at the far end of the bar and waited patiently for him to finish with the girl and hoped he would at least remember you.

Parker gave the girl a fruity drink and turned around with a huge smile on his face. "I didn't think you'd be back here so soon," he said as he walked towards you. He leaned his hands against the bar in front of you. His long sleeves were pushed up to the crook of his elbow and you couldn't help but noticed the muscles in his forearms.

"You're nervous," you look back up at Parker. "Will a shot of tequila help calm your nerves?"

"No, but I'll take it anyway." You smiled as Parker poured you a shot of tequila and passed it to you.

"So, what has you all jittery?"

You raised your index finger, motioning him to give you one second, as you shot back the shot of the tequila. A small groan escaped from the back of your throat as the burning sensation made its way down your throat.

"I need a job," you blurted out nervously.

Parker chuckled.

"The boys told me you are hiring and I am here to ask you about it," you began to run your middle finger around the rim of the shot glass. "I'm nervous because I've never had a job before. Not that I'm saying I have the job already," you quickly rambled. "I've just never asked for an application before and all that jazz."

"You're kinda funny," Parker once again chuckled with a smile on his face. "I like that.

You felt your lips form a small smile.

"Your boys are right," Parker grabbed your tequila shot and refilled it. "I'm guessing you've never worked at a bar before or know how to make drinks either?"

You shook your head. "But we're fast and we pick up things pretty quickly," you hinted without actually saying the word werewolf for someone nearby to hear. You hoped this would somehow help you get the job, because truth is you've always been a fast learner. You just became a faster learner when you became a werewolf.

"Yes, we are," you noticed a spark of excitement in Parker's steel gray eyes as he slung a towel over his shoulder. "Okay, well firsts things first, you need to know the hours for this position. I need someone from 1am to 10am, four times a week for the American football games."

"That's perfect!" You exclaimed a little too loudly. You cleared your throat as you tried to collect yourself and be professional. "I mean, I'm still in West Coast time zone, so working those hours shouldn't be a problem since I'm up between those hours anyway."
