The Zodiac saw Darlene Elizabeth Ferrin, 22. She was working. He saw her drive away with Michael Renault Mageau, 19.
Then, once they reached Blue Rock Springs Park, they made out. It was Midnight. The last remnants of Independence day was over; the last dark threads of lights hit their faces.
They continued making out. Then, to their horror, The Zodiac Killer fired into Darlene. Blood was all over the place; Mike was shot. But he survived the horror.
He pretended to "play dead". The Zodiac grabbed the telephone. "I have killed again; I have become...Now, you shall see what I can do; I have not done my job. There is more to come. And, soon, you'll fear me", and he hung up...and left.
