~~~Quote: The finest steel has to go through the hottest fire", US President Richard Milhous Nixon, (January 9, 1913-April 22, 1994), unquote
I
After RFK's assassination, Richard Nixon wanted to be President. He, and LBJ, plotted in 1967, to do the job of restoring America post-Vietnam.
Sadly, before the war ended in 1975, Nixon would be gone from office on August 9, 1974, when he resigned because of the "Watergate" scandal in 1972-3.
II
Nixon waited for Republican George Wilcken Romney, (July 8, 1907 – July 26, 1995), was a Mormon. His son, Willard Mitt Romney, (March 12, 1947-), who was President of the Salt Lake City, Utah Winter Olympics; Romney, (from 2003-7), was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts, then made his failed 2012 Presidential bid for the White House, as he went up against the Democrat 44th President Barack Hussein Obama, (August 4, 1961-).
III
With a "ROMNEY FOR '68" political banner, George Romney, hired New York United States Representative Leonard Wood Hall, (October 2, 1900 – June 2, 1979), as a "Campaign Manager"; *Hall worked in the 1950's and early 1960's in Isreal and other posts*.
IV
Despite Romney's experience, (**He led LBJ 39% to 31% in a US Gallop Poll**), he never issued any opinion of The Vietnam War, and, because of this, he failed to have a higher office job. And that's why he wasn't President of the United States.
V
Washington Star reporter Jack Worthen Germond, (January 30, 1928-), was quoted in "Life" magazine that, quote, "(Romney)...Manages to turn self-expression into a positive ordeal..nobody can sound more like the public George Romney than the real George Romney let loose to ramble, inevitably away from the point and toward some distant moral precept", unquote.
