"How do we tell reality from imagination?! Is it by sight or by the heart?!."-Constino.

CHAPTER FIVE: Re-Beginning

It was quite lonely, that room on the cliff. Sormesa was there alone reading something from a scroll-it seemed like he had been in the posture for a while. He stood up to stretch a bit and then sat back down for a very short time. This scroll thing wasn't going to work! He put the scroll down on the chair and began to pace about the cliff. That was it! Perhaps it was the environment-fortunately that could easily be fixed. He changed the environment into an arena complete with a crowd and an open end on the cliff said. That was too noisy for his fancy, he changed it into ruins of a city- Zytalia was the city. This seemed to suit his taste perfectly. Like an evil genius, he strode around marvelling at the horrors of his fantasy.

"I can see you are living your fantastic dreams..." A female voice spoke.

"This is no dream of mine..." Sormesa explained, "It's just a projection. We must always be prepared for the worst to avoid disappointment."

"Is that so?!" She asked, "And where does the projection place you? Is it under or above the ruins?!"

"Above I hope..." Sormesa responded, "And what are you doing here, Monero?!"

"Nothing really..." Monero responded, "I just came to see how the training was progressing..."

"So, you're basically poking your nose in my business." He spoke out.

"Yeah, I guess you could call it that..."She agreed casually.

"Where are the trainees anyway?!" She asked as she moved closer to the edge of the cliff.

"Somewhere deep down..."Sormesa replied care freely. Monero looked down the cliff and she could see nothing, neither the bottom nor the trainees.

"How long have they been there?!" She asked in a concerned way.

"A day..." Sormesa responded, "Probably more."

"One of the thirty sunsets?!"She asked. This particular question got on Sormesa's nerves-it seemed pretty obvious!

"Yes..." He answered rashly. Monero could tell that she was annoying Sormesa and she loved every bit of it.

"It seems you are quite busy here..." She said mockingly as she withdrew from the cliff,

"I should leave you your space."

Sormesa returned to his diplomatic persona upon hearing that his annoyer was leaving.

"Two is never a crowd..."He said to her. Monero savoured getting on people's nerves but she was wise enough to read beneath the deceitful politeness.

"With you even one could easily be a crowd..."she responded as she left and then she vanished. Sormesa was alone again, it was a full world but very lonely at the same time. Where were they?! They shouldn't have taken this long!! Down under below the cliff, they were falling through and into oblivion.

In the beginning they had screamed their hearts out but now, they were calm. Silently they fell into the darkness. There wasn't a thing in sight. Everyone felt they were on their own because even though they were at the same level...as dictate the laws of free fall in a vacuum, no one saw any one else! Strost remembered something...he had wings! Immediately, he began flapping hoping his first attempt at flying would be a success. It was all in vain, the wings blew air and that was all-the free fall continued. Breala realised something; this whole infinite fall thing was too bad to be real. She convinced herself that it was not real and as soon as she believed it, she shot up like a rocket and landed on the cliff.
