The sun was setting and since he didn't have any memory of being at home that day, he figured they would be starting to worry. As quickly as he could, he rushed back and by the time he arrived, it was already dark. His mother had been very worried she was waiting for him outside the house.
"Where have you been? We've been looking all over for you!!" Abigail complained.
"I am sorry mum...I got here as soon I could" Jim replied
"Are you alright?! You look very pale and tired!!" she said as she examined his head.
"I'm fine...just a little tired from running"
"Oh boy! Get in before you freeze...go take a shower, dinner is almost ready...you must be very hungry, you didn't have lunch did you?!"
"Ummm...the thing is I am not really sure..." Jim replied
"Oh! Don't worry...just go and have a bath..."
Jim got into the house and went straight to the shower as Abigail had instructed. While in the bathroom, he decided to ignore all thoughts and memories and focus on what he was seeing- he did not want to run mad.
"Jim...you are late, you are saying grace..." Richard said to Jim when he arrived last to the dining table. At the table were family members already seated; Richard, Abigail, Rosie and the Quilos; Joy and Quentin. Jim was sure he had seen this before but he didn't give it much thought seeing as he wished to retain his sanity. He said grace and everyone quietly enjoyed the meal as was family custom. After the meal, Jim went straight up to his room to continue with the daunting task of maintaining sanity. A short while later he heard someone knocking at his door.
"Come in...it's open" he said.
"Where were you the whole day?!" Rosie asked when she had got in.
"I don't know, I only know where I was in the evening.... " Jim replied
"Ha-ha very funny!! Anyway I came to tell you that I...."
Rosie continued to speak and Jim replied when required albeit subconsciously. He had heard this 'news' before- sometime back. Everything from the time he had awoken was an approximation of events he had already witnessed.
The following day he bade farewell to his family and boarded a taxi with the Quilos-his other fraction of family. There was certain boredom in his life now that he knew how everything would happen before it happened. Soon, they arrived at the Quilo mansion on the outskirts of Tharr and Jonathan, who welcomed them, also took their luggage. Joy offered a tour of the mansion and gardens which Quentin attempted to dodge with the appointment excuse but failed miserably. Jim knew everything!! He had seen it all before but it was not the same exact story, just a very similar one. The main difference between the story he was living now and the one he remembered happening was the sword and the vicssorn. Two things that made the story a lot more mysterious and more interesting. In truth, he did not know if any of the realities was real but if anyone was of the two was real, he preferred the one with the sword.
