"You can plan well, work hard, fight very hard, make all the right choices but in the end...we all need a miracle-big or small."-Constino
When she was right where Breala and the rest were, she paused and turned to face their direction! They were all greatly frightened. But then she smiled as she bent over to accept a flower that had been offered to her by a little girl in the front row. Her skin had a perfect tan and her dark hair blended seamlessly into her black mantle-she was a beauty!
"What's your name?" She asked the little girl.
"Talia..." the little girl answered.
"That's a beautiful name..." the queen said, "And it's a beautiful flower you have given me...thank you."
"It's a sign of happiness." Talia explained, "I want you to be happy."
The queen was surprised by the girl's words; she had been wished victory and long life but never happiness!-Did she seem unhappy to the little girl? She took off her mantle and wrapped it around the girl's shoulders leaving most of it dragging on the ground.
"This is a sign of power." She said to the little girl, "Use it to make you and others happy."
"Thank you." Talia said to the queen. The queen simply stroked her silver hair tenderly without saying another word. The mantle had been covering the magnificent body hugging red gown the queen had on. After her exchange with Talia, she continued towards the right end of the city; waving and smiling to the elated townsfolk. Jim felt a hand touching his shoulder and when he turned, all he could see was darkness in a maroon hood. Before he could think, the hooded man teleported him to empty part of the city. He was scared at first but on deeper thought, he realised he thought it was cool-the teleportation.
"Who are you?!" He asked of the man. The man slowly pulled back his hood and after that, he didn't have to answer that question-it was Xlam!
"Xlam! What are you doing here?" Jim asked.
"The real question is; what are you doing here?" Xlam asked back authoritatively.
"The Krichnd was kidnapped; we came to get him...or her, back." Jim answered. Xlam didn't show much interest in the reply either because he found it stupid or it wasn't relevant.
"What are you doing in Virrta?" he asked this time more clearly.
"Oh! I came to ask you a few questions but the sword failed to take me back home! That's why I'm here." Jim explained. Xlam was somewhat alarmed by this response- his mood changed to urgency.
"Neccidexia would be held in the high tower in the palace compound..." Xlam jabbered, "That's where the trophies are kept."
"Trophies?!" Jim asked. He hadn't understood the statement and Xlam wasn't about to explain. Xlam snapped his fingers twice and a black horse formed out of thin air-he hopped onto its back.
"You chose a bad time to come, Creed!" He said to Jim before he rode away.
"Can you..." Jim tried to make a request but Xlam rode away, "take me back to the... "
"Rude old guy!!" He growled at the vanishing backs of the animal and its rider.
