Amid the renovations at the Krichnd's palace there was partying! Everything had changed since the battle. It was always the Krichnd's abode but in the battle, it was the ruled that stood up and fought to protect its greatness. The Krichnd was touched by their passion, will power and patriotism; things that could never be repaid. The gate was opened and the locks broken. The palace was no longer for the ruler alone, it was for everyone! Every single soul now had a place at the Krichnd's table-their table too.
Jim was still unconscious and breathless, but no one ever died in Virrta and retained their body. It had turned out to be a land of plenty of all things good and bad but not a single grave. Therefore the still and breathless body that was James Thomas Creed presented an entirely new occurrence. In fact he was laid on a bed clad in all ornaments, silk like clothes and a spare crown from the Krichnd's collection. His body was put on display in one of the halls on the west side of the ground floor hands on his chest holding his sword in its new sheathe. It's was here that all Virrtians who wished came to pay respect to their hero. The one who came from a world far away to fight for souls he knew not. All that came left a few tears and flowers-for the sight of your hero helpless is one of the most frightening.
The council of holders was almost non-existent after the numerous eliminations done by Sormesa and of course his own disappearance. Holders that survived remained at the hall to find solutions to two situations-Jim's state and the way of preventing another betrayal from ever taking place. Zytalia was still very much the 'city of peace' though a little while back it had been a warzone. Save for the hall which was too strong to be damaged, the rest of the buildings were fractions of what had once been before the fighting. Those Zytes that had already gone to the palace to pay their respects to the hero were in the city ruins trying to make it a gem again.
Strost and Breala were in the hall where Jim lay most of the time since he had been placed there. At the time when Xlam entered the hall, they were both present.
"Girl and beast...interesting friends you had James!" Xlam said when he got into the hall in a tone that sounded too unserious for the circumstances. It was deep in the second dimension and visitors had left. It was now only Strost, Breala and Xlam in the hall-well and of course still Jim.
"It's because of you that he's lying there!!" Breala said with anger and sadness-more of the latter.
"Yes and no...yes, because he came to my rescue...a deed I neither demanded nor required but for which I am nevertheless a little bit grateful...no, because as no being can live or eat for another, none can decease for another. As every being lives its own life, it leaves its own life.
When the time comes, I'll leave mine too..." Xlam explained extremely annoyingly.
"I can't believe you just said that!!" She responded with yet again more anger.
"Do you know what I cannot believe?! I cannot believe that you think he'll wake up for your sake...huh! Isn't that funny?" he provoked her. After this remark, Breala got up and walked out of the hall either because Xlam was right or he was too annoying for her to bear. Strost followed her out of the hall. When they were out of the room, Xlam sat on the bed where Jim lay...
