"I'll hold your hand and lead there because though you're my opponent today, You're me and I you..." Part 41 Synopsis
Breala strolled through the corridor nonchalantly you could think she was at home, but the reality was very much different. She was walking away from a hall where she had just faced a multitude of warriors and come out victorious with her twin blades. And it was quite impressive that she had got away with barely a scratch! However, what made her nonchalance peculiar was a fact she was very much aware of; there were more opponents ahead and they were most likely to be stronger. In the past day, she had been consumed by the thrill of fighting to survive in this arena. The passion with which she swung her blades was scary but still a marvel to behold.
Eventually, she reached her next stop. The room was covered with curtains of various colours that hung from ceiling to floor. It was impossible to tell how big or small it was. Her line of sight was completely covered and this concerned her a little. She was very excited to face any opponents but fighting what she couldn't see was a different issue entirely.
"Do you like the décor?!"Someone whispered a question from behind her within the curtains. Breala instinctively swung her blade towards the whisperer but they had already fled.
"No." She answered, "It's a bit too packed."
"That's too bad." The voice shouted from across the room, "I put them up for you. For your advantage, that is."
Then a string of blue light danced through the room and all the curtains fell to the floor. Breala could see her opponent for the very first time and the room too. It was a very expansive hall with large windows that filled the space with daylight. She's too fast!-Breala thought. It was clear now that the opponent was alone; a girl of about the same height as Breala-her face was covered with only the eyes exposed. Her blue gown was very similar to the Krichnd's
"I'm already at an advantage if I'm versing you alone." Breala responded cockily.
"Is that so?!" The girl asked cynically. She then hastily attacked; the slash could have been fatal if Breala hadn't dodged at the last minute. Even though she had escaped unscathed, Breala was stunned by the pace of the attack and the fact that the girl had twin blades too but longer!
"Amazing! You totally evaded my attack!" The girl complimented Breala. She checked herself out and Breala wasn't very happy with what she found.
"You cut my mantle!!"Breala shouted angrily, she grabbed both of her blades hard and lit them up with yellow flames.
"You shouldn't have dodged." the girl mocked her. Breala then angrily launched a series of rapid attacks that the girl was able to parry away with just one of her blades. The flames were however getting through and burning bits off the cloth covering the girl's face.
"I didn't know you liked the rag that much!" the girl was able to throw in another mocking statement in the middle of the fight! Breala continued to attack relentlessly even though all her attacks were parried away effortlessly. Eventually, Breala got tired and by that time, the only damage she had dealt was to the cloth covering the girl's face. She didn't want to but she had to. So, she retreated to the other end of the room to get some rest. Thankfully, the masked girl didn't attack her then. Instead, she evaluated the damage caused by the flames to her own attire; the cloth covering her face was severely damaged it was almost pointless to keep it.
