There once was a lonely princess named Lucy Heartfilia. She would sit in her castle alone all day waiting for her prince to come and rescue her. Rescue her from the deadly loneliness her father left her with. There once was a dragon named Natsu Dragneel. He loved his life, the freedom to do whatever he wanted. He'd be with his best friend Happy all day doing his shenanigans all around the kingdom. But he wished for something. Something he could die for, someone he could protect. Someone he could love. Someone to love him back. This wish was kept deep inside him. He never let it show.Until one day...
One day Lucy decided to sneak out of the castle. Lucy knew no one would notice, even if she was the princess. She wore less flashy clothes and headed out to my favorite place. A beautiful meadow that oversees the the kingdom of Fiore. On the same day, Natsu decided to explore Fiore, he left Happy at the house and set out.Thoughts in his head made him smile, thoughts of a perfect girl that loved him. But he knew that would never happen, no girl would fall in love would a dragon.Thats not how a fairy tale goes. Girls fall in love with princes, not dragons. He chuckles softly and looks up. He sees he's walked into some meadow of sorts. He looks over the horizon and see a perfect view of Fiore. Suddenly he hears a twig snap behind him and turns. He sees no one but he can tell someones there. He can smell it. He walks up to a tree and walks around. He sees a girl with blonde hair sitting while looking down. He crouches down and asks her to say her name. She looks up and he sees a look hes never seen. A look of intrigue. Any girl whos looked at him gives him looks of disgust or been afraid of him. He stares her until he realizes that she got up and started running away. Wait he yelled but to no avail, she kept running till he was out of his sight.

*I dedicate this short story to my best friend Cleo. She introduced me to Fairy Tail and i have her to thank for this. Shes the Natsu to my Gray. Shes my nakama, forever and always.*
