Chapter 14

Lucy's POV
I sit on my bed in my old room and stare at the walls. My father requested that we stay here for a couple days. I couldn't refuse so Natsu and i are staying in my old room and Nash and Luna are staying in the room next door. Suddenly I'm hugged from behind and i see Natsu's spiky pink hair sticking out from behind me. I smile and close my eyes. "Come on Luce, time for bed," he says childishly. "Alright Natsu, but i cant go to bed if you're hugging me," i say laughing. "Oh but you can," he says. He picks me up and takes me to my side of the bed and sets me down. "Goodnight Luce," he says kissing me on the forehead. "Night Natsu," i say. I get inside bed and lie down when the door opens, revealing a ball of blond hair and another ball of pink hair. "Mommy, Daddy can we sleep with you?," Luna asks with her unrefusable puppy eyes. "Whats the matter with your room sweetie?" i ask. "Nothing, we just wanna sleep with you guys today," she says smiling. "Alright come on," i say. She comes running over and i pick her up and put her on the bed. Nash goes over to the other side and climbs into bed, then Natsu climbs in. "Goodnight guys," i say. "Goodnight Mom, night Luce," they say back. I turn off the light and fall asleep with minutes.
Its been 2 days since we've been staying at the castle. Natsu keeps sneaking off for hours and comes back tired. I tried asking him what he's doing but he won't tell me, saying it doesn't matter. However today's different, he comes up to me with a large box and hands it to me. "Whats in here," i ask him shaking the box. "There'll be someone here in 1 hour, by then you need to wear whats in here okay?" he says. "Okay? But whats it for?" I ask. "Its a surprise Luce," he says smiling. "Alright," i say. He kisses me on the lips and leaves the room. I open the box and in it lays a beautiful white gown with some matching jewelry as well. "Oh my god," i say. What could this be for? I think. Well, I follow Natsus instructions and wear the dress and jewelry within an hour. Im wait for someone to get me only to be shocked when my father knocks on the door. "Father! What are you doing up!?" I say shocked. "Dont worry Lucy,I'm fine. You look beautiful," he says reassuringly. I smile and say, "Thank you, do you know why Natsu told me to get all decked up today?" "Come on Lucy, i have to show you something," he says avoiding the question. "Alright," i say. I link my arm in my fathers and follow him.
"The ballroom?" I say confused. "Come on Luce, cant keep them waiting," my father says smiling. "Cant keep who waiting?," I ask confused. Suddenly the doors open and music plays. But not just any music, wedding music. I see not just any wedding, i see my dream wedding. When i ran away with Natsu we never got to have the wedding but i was fine with it as long as I was with Natsu. I see all the citizens and Natsu at the altar with Nash and Luna and i cant hold it in anymore. A hand goes over my mouth and tears stream down my face. I look at my father and he smiles. I walk down the aisle with my father and he lets me go so i can walk up to Natsu. Soon the priest asks Natsu, "Do you, Natsu Dragneel, take the princess, Lucy Heartfilia, to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "Hell yeah!" he says smiling, "oh can i not say that?" The citizens and i laugh along with the priest. Natsu laughs too and slips a ring on my finger. I never had a ring either, we couldn't afford one so we didn't get one. "Do you, Lucy Heartfilia, take, Natsu Dragneel, to be you lawfully wedded husband?," the priest asks me. "I do,"  i say slipping a ring on Natsus finger given to me by Nash and Luna. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," he says. Natsu pulls me by my waist and passionately kisses me. I hear the cheers of the citizens and i pull away. "Is this your doing?" i ask Natsu. "When you left to go get the kids, i told your father how we never got to have your dream wedding so i asked him if we could make the wedding possible," he says pulling me in close. "Thank you Natsu," i say. "Its nothing Luce, i love you so much, everything is better when we're together," he says. "I love you too Natsu, you'll never know how much i love you," i say grinning.
