Day 8: M*A*S*H Compound, Post-Op, 1330 Hours

They burst into post-op to see Major Houlihan and Colonel Potter along with Klinger and a few other nurses trying to pull Dalli off of a wounded North Korean soldier. B.J. and Hawkeye immediately try to help pull Dalli off the North Korean soldier who is shouting in Korean, and Dalli and everyone else is shouting too.

"He's got a grenade!" Dalli shouted, still wrestling around on the ground with him, trying to grab something in his hand.

One of the MP's shot his gun, and everyone else freezes but Dalli. Twice more he fires the rifle, but Dalli won't get off the soldier until she had the grenade he had in her hand.

Dalli raised her hand over her head, clutching the grenade, and everyone ducks, shouting and clamoring as she chucks it out the nearest window, breaking the screen. Moments later, there's an explosion outside.

Colonel Potter, Major Houlihan, Klinger, and pretty much everyone else ran outside to see what had blown up, except for B.J., Hawkeye, Winchester, and a few nurses that were taking care of the other startled patients in post-op.

Winchester, Pierce, and Hunnicutt were all looking disapprovingly at Dalli and Jess looked on worriedly at her cousin.

"What?" Dalli asked. "Oh, sorry," she said sarcastically, flopping back down on her cot even though she knew that her having left her cot wasn't the real reason they were mad.

"What did I tell you? She's dangerous, I could tell from the start," Winchester yelled at Pierce and B.J. in an I-told-you-so voice.

"I'm dangerous?" Dalli asked disbelievingly. "I don't think I was the one trying to set off a grenade in a ward full of injured people. If I remember correctly, I was the one who just saved everyone here," she retorted.

"True, but the doctors and nurses and even the soldiers here are more equipped to handle a situation such as that than a fifteen-year-old girl," B.J. said calmly.

"That would have been all good and well except for no one saw it but me. What was I supposed to do, just wait for the place to blow up?" she answered.

Hawkeye sighed and said, "You could have tried to tell someone rather than taking matters into your own hands. It hasn't even been a day yet and already you broke the rules Colonel Potter set for you when he took off the restraining straps," he reprimanded his older niece that didn't know she was his niece yet. Now was definitely not a good time to bring that up.

"So sue me and put them back on. It won't do much good anyways," she replied in her usual bitter tone.

"We might have to," B.J. mumbled, but it was interrupted by Colonel Potter shouting.

"Pierce, Hunnicutt, get ready for surgery now! It's the Padre!" he commanded them as Klinger and a few other nurses carried Father Mulcahy into the OR. His leg was bleeding all over the place, he had giant splinters driven into it from a wooden crate that had been blown up in the explosion caused by the grenade Dalli had tossed out the window.

"Shit," Dalli mumbled, dropping her forehead into her hands as Pierce and Hunnicutt ran off.

Jess sighed and sat on her cousin's cot and then said, "Dalli, you really should have told someone."

Dalli looked at her cousin and asked bitterly, "So you're agreeing with them?"

Jess nodded and Dalli sighed, not saying anything more. They sat in silence for a while after Jess realized that her cousin was no longer talking to her, and when Hawkeye and B.J. walked into post-op, Jess walked out.
