Day 8: M*A*S*H Compound, Post-Op, 1800 Hours
Hawkeye got Jess some painkillers and advised her to try and be more careful next time. Then he asked Jess to go wait in the Swamp while he went to talk to Winchester about not letting Jess try to talk to Dalli, even if Dalli wouldn't listen or say anything back.
"Winchester, what the heck were you thinking telling Jess that she can't talk to her cousin?" Hawkeye shouted as he stormed into post-op.
"Jess shouldn't be in here trying to talk to her cousin," Winchester replied quite smugly.
"Colonel Potter asked Jess to talk to Dalli. She deserves the chance to see if she can get Dalli to talk to her," Hawkeye contradicted, raising his voice.
"Either way, her cousin is still too dangerous for her to be around," Winchester answered defiantly.
"Dalli wouldn't hurt Jess," Hawkeye shouted back.
