Day 8: M*A*S*H Compound, Swamp, 1600 Hours
Back at the Swamp, Winchester walked in and saw Pierce still sitting on the edge of Jess's cot.
"Don't say anything, Winchester," Pierce replied coldly the minute Winchester opened his mouth.
"Cool it Hawk," B.J. warned.
Pierce sighed and combed his fingers through Jess's hair which was unbraided. The only time she ever took her hair out of her braids was when she was upset.
"Just to let you know, Colonel Potter wants to talk to Jess," Winchester replied matter-of-factly as he sat down on his cot.
Pierce and Jess stood up to go to Colonel Potter's office, but then Winchester added, "Alone."
Jess glanced at her uncle worriedly, but he assured her, "It's all right, Jess."
