RedVille

Chapter 3.

We arrived to school and got out of the car. We entered the hallway and were walking towards our class when I spotted Aiden. He looked at me not sure if he wants to see me or talk to me. I stopped walking unsure of what to do myself.

Aiden Reynolds.

He was one of my best friends too, until 2 months ago when he confessed his undying love for me and I said Ididn't feel that way about him. After that things were different between us, he never talked to me again and ignored me the whole summer.

I walked towards him wanting to end the awkwardness between us and Evan, Nina and Andrea followed me.

"Hi Aiden." I said.

He stared at me with his beautiful green eyes and slipped his fingers through his blonde hair.

"Hi." He finally managed to say.

He is a great guy and any girl would be lucky enough to have him as a boyfriend. He is probably the most handsome guy in our school. But I just didn't feel that way about him, he was just a friend to me.

"Hey dude." Evan said giving him a hug.

"How are you girls?" He asked to Nina and Andrea, and hugged them as well. He was about to walk away when I grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"I don't get a hug?" I said to him and smiled. He smiled too, wrapped his arms around me and let out a big sigh when we broke apart.

I felt really bad about how things were between us and I wanted to fix it. Evan and Andrea already left for class and Nina was talking to one of the girls from our class.

"Aiden, the guys are coming over at my place tonight, and I want you to come too." I said as he started to walk away.

He hesitated for a minute. "I don't know if-"

"Please just say you'll come, I miss you Aiden." I cut him off.

"Sure, I'll come." He said, gave me a half smile and left for his class.

Then Nina and I started walking to our class, when she stopped me at the door.

"Are you crazy?" She blurted out.

"What? why?" I said confused.

"Mickayla you invited Aiden. Aiden! He's head over heels in love with you are trying to torture the guy?"

I didn't know what to say, she was right at some point but I also wanted to make things right with him.

"I'm not trying to do anything to him Nina I just want to make things right and be friends with him again. That's all." I said and entered the classroom.

I sat down, and my head started to hurt like someone was pounding on it. I started seeing things, things that weren't really there, it was more like a vision. I saw blood, fire, heard screaming, people speaking in a foreign language. And suddenly I was back in the classroom again. Nina was sitting next to me, as usual. And I had to tell someone about this, and she's my best friend so I decided to tell her.

"Hey N, I have this feeling that something bad is gonna happen."

She raised her eyebrows and looked at me like I'm crazy.

"Mick, this is RedVille, it's a safe town nothing bad ever happens here." She said with a comforting look. And continued to write down in her notebook.

Was I going crazy?! I spent most of the period thinking about it. What was gonna happen? Is the ceiling going to collapse on us?

I rested my head on my desk and fell asleep.

I found myself in an old basement, it was filled with candles and old books labeled 'spells'. Where am I? What is this place? Is this real or is it a dream? I started asking myself.

A woman appeared and started approaching me. "It's time." She said.

Time for what? I was so confused. "Time for what?" I finally asked.

She came closer to me and put her hands on my shoulders. I felt something when she touched me.

"You're the one." She said and disappeared.

And suddenly I woke up by what sounded like a bell ringing, and I realized that I was back in class and had slept for the whole forty five minutes.

Nina was standing at the door. She called my name and signaled me to hurry. I wanted answers, who was that woman, what did she mean by what she said and the vision I saw... What is happening?

That was the strangest dream I have ever had.

And it left me with a million questions.
