Nina and I were sitting in the school cafeteria.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Why wouldn't she be okay?" Said Andrea as she sat down with us.

"She slept during the whole class." Nina said.

I didn't want Andrea to know about how I was feeling, even though she's one of my best friends, she can be a little judgemental at times.

"Why? Are you okay?" Was the only thing she said. I guess she cared more about having Lione in town than she did about judging me.

"I'm okay." I said. I didn't want them to worry about me.

"Tell her what you told me." Nina said. I sighed and looked at her angrily.

"What did she tell you?" Said Evan as he sat down next to Andrea facing us.

I told them what I told Nina and they both reacted the same way she did. And then we started talking about what we should do tonight, Evan suggested that we make dinner oueselves instead of ordering it. He wanted to cook. Of course he did. He's Evan Freeman. Evan has brown hair, green eyes, he has a smile that can melt your heart, he loves to cook and he's a prince charming in general.

Suddenly the principal walked in and made an announcement for all the students to gather in the gym. It took a few minutes for the students to gather. Everyone was curious. We rarely had meetings like this and it was only during emergencies. The gym was filled with noises of concern. The principal, Mr.Miller came in and approached the microphone on the stand.

"I have an important announcement to make and I would like all of you to stay calm."

Now I was more worried.

"Miss Annie Romalo has been found murdered on the school campus." The room was filled with more gasps and noises.

"Stay calm everybody." Mr.Miller repeated himself.

"We are still investigating on it, therefore all classes are dismissed for the rest of the day and for tomorrow as well." He said.

Annie Romalo was the sweetest girl ever, why would anyone want to kill her I couldn't understand .Was this the thing I was worried about?!

Since classes were dismissed, I collected my things from my locker, and was walking home, trying to clear my mind a bit when I saw Aiden across the street.

"Aiden!" I yelled to him and he stopped and came over to me.

"Hey." he said. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to make sure you were coming tonight." I said.

"Mickayla I-"

"Please just come Aiden, I missed you, just promise you'll be there." I begged.

"Fine, okay." He said. I gave him a smile, and he left.

I got home and went straight to the kitchen. Uncle Lione was cooking. That's new.

"Lione? Are you cooking?" I asked confused.

"Yeah, I'm not gonna let you kids both hungry while your parents are gone away." He said.

"Both?" I said as my eyes widened and I saw Jordan come in from the dining room.

"Jordan!" I said surprised and ran to him and hugged him. He carried me and twirled me around and then put me down.

"I missed you! What are you doing here so early?!" I asked.

"I couldn't wait a couple more days to see my baby sis." He said.

"Well I'm glad." I said and hugged him again.

"What are you doing home so early? It's not even 2:00 yet." He said.

I told them about Annie, and they were upset. Jordan knew her when we were kids, he was more upset than Lione. I don't blame him he didn't know her, but still, he seemed to be more concerned and panicked rather than upset for the poor girl and gave the impression like he was guilty.

Jordan asked me about Nina, Evan and Andrea and I told told him that they're coming over in a few hours. I told him about Aiden too, he may be my older brother, but he's also like my best friend.

Before he went to college last year, the six of us were unseperable, we were like the Friends gang. We shared so much together, we had wonderful times together, but then Jordan graduated and left for college, Aiden grew apart from me, and it was just me, the girls and Evan left.

So much memories were shattered, and so many friendships were broken. Every time Aiden saw me during the summer he used to leave the room, and that made Evan leave too. And the girls stopped hanging out with Aiden because of me, it was like nothing was ever the same again.
