Chapter 30.

Mickayla's POV

"I am so fucking hungry." Andrea kept saying over and over again.

We decided to not worry about the fact that my blood is the cure to a warewolf bite. We had more important things to worry about and that was, Andrea's life. She had to kill someone to complete her transition and if she didn't she'd die. And i was not ready to lose one of my best friends.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"She doesn't have much time." Collin said.

"Andrea cannot kill someone, it will ruin her, she's sensitive and fragile she can't live knowing that she took someone's life." I stated.

"If she doesn't complete the transition by tomorrow night, she's not gonna make it." Declan said.

"I can't believe this is happening." Nina said her eyes swollen and red from crying.

"She has 24 hours, you can talk to her and explain to her what needs to be done. She can decide for herself." Godric said.

"What? No! I am not letting my best friend decide between suicide and murder." Nina snapped.

"There has to be some other way." I said running my hands through my hair and resting my elbows on my my knees.

All of us were still sitting at the apartment trying to figure out what to do, while Andrea was eating all that was in the fridge.
Lione on the other hand was still in the same position, sitting on the ground, his eyes red and puffy from crying.

"There is no other way Mickayla!" Collin snapped at me.

"Hey! Don't yell at her like that! Gees man calm down." Declan said to Collin.

"I'm sorry." Collin said but i ignored him.

"I should talk to Lione he doesn't seem good." I said and made my way towards him and sat down next to him on the floor crossing my legs.

I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Uncle Lione?" I said calmly. He didn't answer.

"Lione? Please talk to me, say something, i hate seeing you like this."

"It's my fault." He said quietly his voice was shaky. "I kissed her and she and Evan fought, she went into the woods and Monica found her, and it happened because of me." He said trying not to burst into tears.

At that moment i realized that we had completely forgotten about Evan, he didn't know what had happened to Andrea. All we knew was that he was drunk and Aiden took him home.

"It's not your fault. Okay? Listen to me." I said tilting his head to face me and looked into his eyes. They were filled with sadness, guilt and pain. My heart broke when i saw him like that.
I wasn't used to seeing Lione like this, he was always happy and smiling and he would make jokes and make us smile, he gave the best advice. He was the cool uncle.

"None of this is your fault Lione." And as i said that the tears srarted oozing out of his eyes.

I quickly hugged him and he buried his face in my shoulder and continued crying.
After he calmed down a bit. Jordan stood up and said. "I'll take him home."

"That's a good idea." I said and he took Lione and left the apartment to take him home.

"Where's Evan?" Andrea asked swallowing the last bite of the pizza she had taken.

"Um sweetie you and Evan broke up, remember?" Nina told her slowly.

"Right." She said as she realized that it was true.

"But where is he now?"

"He got a little drunk and he's at home, Aiden is taking care of him." I explained. She just nodded.

"So what happens now? What happens to me?" She finally asked the question we were all afraid of answering.

We all hesitated to answer, we didn't know how to tell her. Finally Collin broke the silence and spoke.
He was really good at explaining what was gonna happen next. He was careful and understanding and he knew how to make it seem okay. He had experience. He had done it before. He was good with newborns.

I myself never went through this, i didn't kill anyone, except the man in the woods when he attacked me, but he was a vampire, technically he was alreay dead. Well, so am i.
But to become a vampire. I didn't have to kill anyone. I became a vampire with a spell.

"Well, you have to feed on someone to complete your transition." Collin explained with a smile.

"Okay, let's go, I'm hungry." She said standing up ready to leave.

"Well, but first." He continued and that made Andrea sit back down.

"To become a full vampire, that person you feed on, has to die, are you okay with that?" Declan said.

"You're saying i have to kill someone?"

Collin just nodded.
She looked at all of us one by one and nodded her head slowly.

"And if i don't?"

"Well, let's just say you won't be a vampire, you won't make it."

"Okay." Was all she said.

"Are you okay with this Andrea?" I asked.

"I have to." She said. "You will all help me get through it right?" She asked.

We all said "yes" and "of course" and agreed with her.

"Alright then, i have to do it." She said.

"Let's go hunting." Declan said with a small voice and a half smile.

We all stood up to leave.

"I can't watch this." Nina said. "I'm sorry."

Andrea nodded, understanding how she felt.

"I'll take you home." Tristan said and left.

"But on one condition." Andrea said after Tristan and Nina left.

"If i have to kill someone it has to be someone who's already dying. Can i do that?" She asked.

After a few seconds of silence.

"Yeah, you can do that." Collin said with a smile.

"Okay, good." She replied.

It made sense. To kill someone who's already dying. That person is going to die anyways and instead of getting tortured everyday, she could put them out of their misery. She wanted to 'save them from the pain' as she said.
It was her way of convincing herself that what she was about to do was okay and a good thing.

"Then teach me." She said.
