Mickayla's POV

It has been a month since everything happened. Declan still doesn't quite remember anything, but he knows everything that has happened. All his memories from his vampire life were gone, but Collin still spent everyday telling him stories.

I'm not saying we were giving up on him. But as everyday passed, we slowly started believing that it was something impossible for his memory to come back.
And we were dealing with it.

This wasn't a movie. Where the guy gets in a car accident and loses his memory, then after one kiss his memory comes back and they live happily ever after. No, this was real life. And it sucked.

I had told everyone that I was going to take the cure... Except For Collin. I had to talk to him first. And I did.
I went to the store and when i walked in I saw Declan and Godric laughing. That made me so happy. To see them laugh, to see him laugh.

"I did not do that." Declan said between laughs.

They still hadn't seen me walk in.

"Hey guys." I finally said.

"Hey." They both said.

"What's going on here?" I asked with a smile. Amusement clear on my face.

"Godric was just telling me some stories back from when I was a vampire." Declan said the smile he had slowly fading away as the thought of his memory loss came to mind.

"Well I don't mean to interrupt so go on." I said with a smile. "I was just gonna ask if Collin's here?!" I asked.

"Yeah, he's upstairs." Godric said. I thanked him and went upstairs to the apartment.

Collin was stranding in front of the fire with a drink in his hand and the bottle in the other.
He was physically in the room, but God knows where he was mentally.

"Collin?"

"Hey." He said with a smile walking towards me after placing the glass and the bottle on the table.

"How are you?" I said giving him a hug.

"I'm good, you?" He asked as we pulled away.

I nodded my head.

"Listen, Collin, sit down. I gotta tell you something." I said as I sat down on the couch and pulled him by his arm so he'll sit down next to me.

"What is it?" He asked with wide eyes.

"I know it's been really hard for you with Declan and everything."

"It's been hard for all of us." He said.

"I know, but mostly for you. You guys are brothers, you have been inseparable for almost 400 years. I get it, I understand what you're going through."

"Mickayla just say it."

"Say what?"

"What you came here to say." He said. "You're taking the cure."

"I need you to understand me Collin."

"I do. If I could, I would take it too." He said.

I couldn't say anything. I couldn't stay strong. One minute I'm talking to him calmly and then tears start streaming down my face.

"Hey, I'm gonna be okay." He said holding my hand.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry that it had to come down to this. It's all my fault." I said wiping away the tears.

"Mick it's not your fault. What your mother did is not your fault or your responsibility." He said putting his hand around my shoulder and pulling me close to him.
