Collin's POV

I opened my eyes the next morning and i could feel something on me. I looked down and saw Mickayla's head was resting on my chest and her hand was swung over my stomach. I didn't move, i looked at my phone it was 9:26 pm. We had to keep moving, it was just an hour away the town that Monica was in. Or we hoped she was in.

"Miclayla." I whispered in her ear.

"Hmm." She said and cuddled closer to me.

"Mickayla wake up, we have to keep moving." I said hoping she would realize i wasn't who she thought i was.

She opened her eyes and looked up at me confused, and then looked at the position we were in and immediately sat up.

"What time is it?"

"Almost 9:30." I said sitting up myself.

"What-What happened?" She asked reffering to the position we were in a few seconds ago.

"Nothing happened, if you're asking if we." I trailed off.

"Good." She said and got up and went to the bathroom, and i got up and started putting on my clothes.

Mickayla's POV

I went to the bathroom and started thinking about last night. Did i miss something? Why was i cuddled up to Collin? I tried to remember the events of yesterday, but i couldn't remember anything other than arguing with him to sleep on the bed and not on the floor. My thoughts were interrupted when i heard a knock on the door.

"Mickayla? You okay? You've in there for fifteen minutes." Collin said from the other side of the door.

Without saying anything i opened the door and put on a smile.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I said and went over my suitcase and took out some clothes to change into.

"Do you mind?" I said so he could turn around and i could get dressed.

"Oh sure." He said and sat on the bed his back to me.

I quickly undressed from my pijamas and slipped on the dress.

"I found Monica." He said trying not to make this as awkward as it already was.

"You did?" I said.

"Yep, she's in an institution again." He said.

"Wow, why does she get in and out of there?!" I was curious.

"She's like that, when Monica does something like this, and gets all worked up in revenge and goes after something she wants, she breaks down at the end and goes and checks herself in an institution to make herself feel better. She thinks that they can help her." He explained.

I was now standing right next to him. He looked upset. Maybe he really did love Monica in the past. It hurt seeing him like that, i could feel it from the tone of his voice that he once cared for her. He felt guilty for some reason. Maybe because he didn't help her?! Or maybe he felt pity,or bad for the way she was.

"Can you zip me up?" I changed the subject.

"Sure." He said standing up. I turned around my back facing him.

He placed my hair on one side of my shoulder and trailed his hands down my back and slowly zipped up the dress and placed his hands on my waist and turned me around gently so i could face him.

"Thanks." I said not looking at him.

"You're welcome." He said placing a finger under my chin and tilting my head up. "Let's get going." He said with a smile and walked to the door.

Once again i was left feeling things i never felt before towards Collin. And i don't think i wanted to feel them. I took my jean jacket and put it on and followed him out of the door. We checked out of the motel and hit the road again.
After an hour of driving we finally found the institution.
Neither of us said anything the whole ride there.
We walked in and went over to the reception.

"Hi how can i help you?" The man said.

"We're looking for Monica Watson." Collin said.

"Well well, you found me." Said the voice we were here looking for.

"Monica." Collin greeted her.

"I'm sorry but visiting hours are not until 1:00 o'clock." The man said.

"It's okay Derek." Monica compelled him.

"Make yourselves comfortable." The man said smiling at us politely.

"I'm impressed, i didn't think you could find me." She said sitting on the couch in the visiting room.

"You make it so easy." Collin said.

"How are you Mickayla?" She asked sarcastically.

I was about to say something when Collin stopped me.

"Don't start Monica." He said.

"So?Is your plan going well? Does your mommy believe that we're both dead?"

"How the hell do you know about that?" I said.

"Come on, I'm not stupid. I have my eyes and ears everywhere.
You know it's a pretty smart plan, to say im dead so that your mom wouldn't be worried about me killing you. And to say that you're dead when you found out she doesn't care about me killing you and she still wants the cure. Now that she thinks we're both dead, there is no reason for her to want the cure, better yet there is no other way."

"Thank you." I said sarcastically.

"But you don't know your mom that well Mick, can i call you Mick? Anyways, she won't stop at nothing to get you." She continued.

"She thinks I'm dead." I said.

"Let's see if Declan can pull that off first." She said with a wicked smile.

"If I'm dead, there's no other way for the cure." I said.

"You'd be surprised by what Victoria can do."

"What do you mean?" Collin said.

"If the witch/vampire dies, there's a way to bring them back, but only she won't be a vampire anymore only a witch because they're not your powers that you were born with, they're given to you so you keep them." She said.

"What if she believes im dead and starts looking for my body?!" I said panicked. "She won't leave town and i won't be able to return to town."

"Just calm down." Collin said pulling me in a hug.

"Why do you want to be human?" I asked her.

"I really don't. But i thought i could get married to a nice guy and have kids and that way i could have a real family because all my life i was alone i never had anyone." She said.

It was sad what she said. Being a 400 year old vampire and spending eternity alone is just sad.

"We should go." Collin said.

"You drove all the way here to find me and you're just gonna walk away? You're not gonna kill me? Or better yet try to kill me?" She said.

"We wanted to fill you in and beg you to help us but i don't think we need to." Collin said with a thankful smile. And Monica gave one back.

We were walking out when she followed us outside and stopped us.

"Mickayla, I'm really sorry your mother doesn't care. I would do anything to have one,you do and she doesn't care for you. I'm really sorry, i am." She said.

It was weird because she didn't say it in a sarcastic way, or in a mean way, she said it like she really meant it.

She was truly sorry.

For one moment there i actually felt bad for her.
I felt bad for the girl who wanted to kill me.

I felt bad for Monica Watson.
