Chapter 38.

Mickayla's POV

"Well, I'm all set." I said as i put my bag on the floor as i came up the stairs at the guy's apartment.

"Now that we settled that my blood can cure the warewolf bite, you guys are safe. Did you put them in a safe place?" I asked.

"Yes, Mickayla, don't worry they're in a safe place." Godric said walking towards me and giving me a hug. "You just take care okay?"

"We will." I said.

"Hello mates." Carlos said from downstairs.

"Up here." Declan yelled and Carlos came upstairs.

"Hello love." He said smirking at me.

"Watch it." Declan said pointing his index finger at him.

"Is everything set?" Collin asked.

"Yes it is, everything is going according to plan." He said. "We're gonna be here in about an hour and a half or two." Carlos said.

"Okay, good, we should get going." I said.

"Take care of her." Lione said to Declan.

"I will, i promise." Declan replied.

"Woah, woah, wait, you're going with her?" Carlos asked.

"Yeah."

"No, you have to stay here, when the council comes you have to be here to convince them that Mickayla is dead."

"But i have to go find Monica she can't go alone." Declan said.

"She doesn't have to, you're the boyfriend Declan, they have to see you hurt and angry to believe that she's really dead." Carlos explained.

"He's right." I said, obviously Carlos had a point.

"I'll go with her." Collin suggested and my heart started pounding.

Hours of driving and a night in a hotel room with my boyfriend's brother who i may have deep hidden feelings for? Not good!
I knew Collin loved me, and i did have some sort of feelings for him I guess. But Declan is the one for me. I knew that the minute he saved me.

"Okay." Declan agreed.

I gotta say i was surprised that he agreed that easily without protesting a bit. I mean he too knew about his brother's feelings towards me. And the fact that he agreed to me spending alone time with Collin and a night in the same room with him didn't bother him that much made me love him evem more. It showed me that he trusted me.

I sighed before agreeing as well.
We put our bags in Collin's trunk and he got in the driver's seat and i sat next to him in the passenger's seat.

"Good luck." I said to them who were by now outside of the store saying goodbye to us.

"Thanks baby." Declan said with a smirk and kissed me leaning on the window of the passenger's door. "And you too. Be careful."

"We will." I said with a reassuring smile.

"Take care of her brother." Declan said to Collin.

He looked at me before he replied.

"I promise, no matter what brother." He said with a smile.

I couldn't help but feel little butterflies in my stomach. Hearing him say that made me feel in some sort of way. I felt safe with him. Like nothing could hurt me as long as I'm with him. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the engine being started.

"Bye guys." They all said as Collin started driving off.

I turned to look at his profile. He was looking ahead at the road. I smiled again as what he said earlier came back up to my mind.
