[The Next Day]

Tsubaki sighed as she finished her work for the day. She, having nothing to do, took a shower and dressed herself up before heading out. She, after getting permission from Hephaestus, headed for the Hecate Familia's home. Hoping that her boyfriend, Edward, was done with his work so that they could head out for a date. Mainly because they haven't had a date in several weeks.

As she left the Hephaestus Familia Manor and workshop, she walked out into the streets and headed directly to the house that held the Hecate Familia. It took her several minutes, and after getting several looks from other people since she was dressed up, she reached the house. She quickly knocked and stepped back.

A minute later, Hecate, Edward's Goddess, opened the door. She looked as beautiful as any Goddess was. Upon seeing Tsubaki, Hecate smiled and let her in.

"Tsubaki, dear," Hecate said as she let her inside, a small smile on her face. "How are you?"

"Hecate-sama," Tsubaki greeted her as she walked in, "I'm good, been busy lately, but good."

"That's good to hear," Hecate replied as she escorted her to the dining room. "Ed's in right now, however..."

"What's wrong?" Tsubaki asked as she noticed Hecate's hesitation. 

"We've got a new Familia member," Hecate sighed as she opened the door to the dining room.

Tsubaki was confused. Her thought was that it should be a happy occasion for the recruitment of a new Familia member. However, that thought went straight out the window when she saw the dining room. There sat Ed with a small Hume Bunny girl with pink hair, ears, and tail. In a small green dress that matched her eyes, sitting on Ed's lap as he was teaching her.

She found the sight cute. Until Tsubaki noticed that the girl was bright, wide awake, and scared while Ed was tired and sleepy. Before Tsubaki could ask what was wrong, the girl seemed to notice her stare and bound away faster than any level one had any right to be able to. Before Tsubaki's eyes, she disappeared. It wasn't until she heard the squeak of a cabinet on the floor that Tsubaki realized that the girl had hidden inside one.

Tsubaki looked at Ed, who seemed to have jolted awake now, and saw that he was close to pulling his hair out. Tsubaki couldn't help but wonder why until she saw that the girl was gone again. She couldn't help but look around and saw that the girl was now hidden in a cabinet on the wall.

"Wha?" Tsubaki said as she stood there dumbfounded. "What is with that speed?!"

"That, we don't know," Hecate sighed and closed the door behind them. "Her name is Aria. From what we can tell, she's half-Pallum and half-Hume Bunny, we believe. As for how we recruited her, she was an illegal slave that Ed rescued from the Dungeon. The Guild all but threw the responsibilities onto us after we reported it. As for the guild dealing with her, they just took the report and kicked Ed out. Ed and I have been trying to see how mentally developed she is, but she's scared of everything that's not in or from the dungeon." She told Tsubaki as she began to coax the girl out from the cabinet with a piece of carrot cake she got from the fridge.

"Do you know how old she is?" Tsubaki asked as she went over to Ed and hugged him from behind.

"From what we can tell," Ed sighed as he rubbed his eyes, "She's maybe five or six at the most. That and there is one other thing..."
