"Hi. I'm Troye." Holy crap! He has the most amazing accent I've ever heard. And the most amazing voice. And amazing face. And why is he so perfect.

"Uh... Yeah. Hi. I'm Connor." I said sitting down at the other seat at "our" table. "So uh. Why did you buy my latte yesterday. I really didn't need you to do that for me." I explain. I as stumped as to why he would do that.

"It felt like the right thing to do. That's all. So. Uh... We have the same English class. I hadn't even realized that we had the same class until last week." His voice was melodic. It was almost mesmerizing to Connor as he listened to the other boy speak.

"Uh, yeah. So um. Where are you from? Your accent isn't familiar to me. And when did you move to to The States?" Connor wanted to know more about this beauty.

"Uh... Well. I was born in South Africa but my family moved to Perth, Australia when I was about 4. And I also spent a lot of time in England growing up so I've got a sort of mixed accent. My dad got a job offer from the company he works for. We moved here around spring. With my family of course. Brothers and sister and both my parents.  And then we spent the summer getting unpacked and settled in and everything. And then I started at this school at the beginning of the school year. What about you.  What's your life story."

"Uh. Pretty normal. I guess would be the word. Born and raised in California I think Ive only moved maybe twice my whole life. I've got my dad, two brothers and a sister.

"What about your mum?"

"Uh...  She died about 2 years ago from cancer." Connor said tears already forming in his eyes. It was a touchy subject. His mom was the only person he ever felt got him. And even having not the best mood before she had passed away, now he felt like he would be a total wreck whenever he tried to think or talk about it.

"Oh Connor I'm so sorry." Troye confessed taking Connors hand in his own across the table. He gave a it a good squeeze before sighing and releasing Connors hand. Connor looked down and tried to calm back down.

The boys stopped talking and sat in a comfortable silence. With most people it would be awkward but neither felt that way about this.

Connor eventually decided he needed to speak up.

"Why would you come here and talk to me? And buy me a coffee? What do you want from me? Usually people just think I'm an A student and want homework help. Is that what you want? Because I'm actually not that good of a student." Oh crap. Connor wanted answers so bad he completely blew it with Troye. How was he going to fix this?

Troye sat quiet for a while. Connor was extremely nervous he had messed up everything. He was just hoping they could be friends after this. Or more but he was not going to get his hopes up.

"I just think your cool Connor. That's all. And I've seen you in class and around school and saw you didn't really have many friends. Atleast that I could see. No offense of course. Being alone myself helps me work on my songwriting. But I just thought I could help fix that." How was this boy so cute and nice? He seemed perfect in my opinion. What was the catch? There has to be one.

"Hey. I'm sorry for blowing up like that. People just usually aren't as sweet as you." I confess. Is he even gay? He must know im gay. Everyone at school knows. Does he just not care? Is he just not judgey in that way?

"No problem."

I'll just talk and see how it goes. It can't be that bad.
"So you said you wrote songs. Could I hear one?"

"Uh yeah. Maybe you could come over to mine sometime and I could show you. I don't know if I'm that good. But id love if I could get advice from someone. But yeah. I like to make music. Compose and write and sing on my own. But what about you? What do you like to do?"

"Uh... I like searching for good music. Things that wouldn't make it into the main stream of things but deserve that recognition. Uh. I like coffee as you could tell. And I also like to write stories and things. Ive never really been a huge sports person, i was on swim teem as a kid but i've pretty much grown out of that phase i guess you could say. "

"Awe, nice. Ive never been a sports person either, more of an internet junkie."

"Same." This boy is something. We seem to have quite a lot in common. And we've both sat here for a month not saying anything about it.

The boys continued talking, working on homework, scrolling twitter together. Troye had moved onto the same side as Connor and by the end of the night thy were sitting pretty close for a few teenage boys who had only met hours before.

"Hey, its pretty late, i think I should head home." Troye spoke up after another comfortable silence while working on homework. Connor looked at his phone and soon realized it was almost 10P.M.

"Ohh crap, yeah it is pretty late. could we exchange numbers really fast?" Connor talked without thinking and he was both happy and nervous that he had.

Troye looked over at him and smiled a sweet smile. And just seeing his smile made Connor smile.

"I'd love to Connor." They exchanged numbers and packed up their things, and both started walking home, they went the same way for a while and when they started to split off Troye stopped Connor before he could get away without a goodbye.

"Connor wait." Troye held Connors arm and pulled him back. Connor felt Troye hold his arm a little too ling and he swore Troye had noticed his scars but he was not going to open up to a practically stranger at this time.
Troye pulled him into a hug and Connor stood there for a second. He was shocked. Why would someone put this much effort or interest in him. He still didn't quite understand it. He soon relaxed into the hug, though, noticing it was probably the best hug he had ever gotten.

"If you ever need to talk, or just want to hang out, please tell me, cause i really enjoyed this." Troye practically whispered into Connors ear while he was hugging him.

"The same for you. Ill see you in school tomorrow, yeah? And if not at Coffee, right?" Connor just felt he could trust this boy. He didn't know why. He had never really been able trust anyone in his life before. Besides his sister that he didn't even see that often now that most of his siblings had moved out and gone to college. He had never had many friends to ACTUALLY tell people things that he wanted to. But this felt different. This felt like this could be really good for him. And he was overjoyed about that.

"Of course. Night Connor."

"Goodnight Troye."
