Chapter 1- Valentines Day Surpires

Everything was calm and quiet. And throughout the rest of the day, everything seems so normal. It was late in the evening and everyone was in bed still, apart from one person, who was still up late. Maria was still up and awake. She hasn't had any sleep. She was busy studying that she had lost track of time.
" what's the time now?" She whispered softly to herself. And it's only when she looked at her watch that it was already 6 o'clock in the morning.

She hasn't slept for the whole night. And so she quickly and quietly got out of bed and rushed downstairs. Maria had stayed awake for more than 6 hours, and so when she was downstairs, she was so tired, she poured milk all over herself without her knowledge.
" gosh, uh.. Not now. Why?" She whispered, try not to wake anyone else upstairs.

As she got the milk off her shirt, she was still tired that she couldn't stay awake any longer. She had to get some sleep. Maria had fallen asleep on the countertop and had stayed asleep until the rest were awake. When they were awake, Adam, Leo and Chase were the first to go downstairs.
" I'm starving, what's for breakfast?" Asked Adam as he stretched his back and yawned at the same time. Chase and Leo were still rubbing their eyes to even notice Maria was sleeping with her head on the countertop.

It was only when Bree came down that she spotted Maria. She was still sleeping.
" Should we wake her?" Asked Bree as she took a slice of bread from the table. Both Leo and Adam said in unison
" Nah, she's fine" and they too both took some toast. But Chase went up and gently shook her on her shoulders.
"hey, its time to wake up" he whispered. And when Maria lifted her head up, her hair was everywhere and had a few cereal bits on her face.

And with that, Adam went pass Leo and Chase to Maria and started picking off the remaining cereal bits off Maria's face. Bree, Leo and Chase found that horrifying.  But Maria didn't mind and besides, it made her day every morning. And so after getting ready and have freshened up, they all went to school not before saying goodbye to Donald first.
" bye... Stay save. Don't use your bionics in school..and don't you dare... "
" bye see you later," they all said before Donald could finish his sentence. But he smiled for he knew that they were all safe and they could look after themselves.

When they got to school, they noticed that it was cover in pink and red hearts and red roses. It was Valentines Day. A large banner hung on one of the walls of the school building.  Maria took Chase's hand and Chase held on tightly on to hers.
" This is nice isn't it," said Maria, as she then let go of her grip on Chase's hand and wrapped her arm around his waist instead. They both turned their heads to each other before smiling at each other.

Leo and Adam looked disgusted and look like they were about to vomit.
" hate Valentine's Day," said Leo as he took off his bag from his shoulders and on to the floor. Bree had just got to ask a question. 

" and what's with You and Valentine's Day anyway?" She said as she folded her arms. Leo rolled his eyes and replied
" well, you see every Valentine's Day I'm always the one that never gets picked for the Ladies Choice Valentine's Day Dace. Happy now?" Leo was now frustrated. His face has gone red.
" and what about Valentine's Day that takes you so moody and foul about," asked Maria, who looked at Adam.

At first, Adam didn't speak but he did mumble a bit. But soon with the question rattling in his mind, he answered quickly.
" I just can't stand people kissing while I'm eating my food in the cafeteria"
" but Adam, you always try to make a volcano of your fish sticks to barely noticed anyone else." Said Chase. Maria and Bree laughed after seeing Adams facial expression.
" I bet you can't get a date for the Ladies Choice Valentine's Day and.." Said Leo to Adam. And there was a catch.
" and you have to also you get a kiss from that person too. Do we have a deal?" Leo had his arms stretched and Adam agreed.
"you're on. And anyway, who would kiss you anyway" and before Leo could reply, Adam had pulled a funny face and ran away from the group.

That the rest of them looking at each other in stunned glares. And soon the silence was broken when they all broke into laughter. Soon as the day goes by, the Valentines Day surprises just kept on going and soon enough everyone in the school got a Valentines. When Perry announced that they are going to hold the Ladies Choice Valentine's Day Dance, everyone was getting excited especially the girls.

When they were home, there was nothing more than just to spend Valentines Day with the people you actual love. And that was all Maria wanted to do. She and the rest of the Davenports together on Valentine's Day. Just the whole lot of them without any missions to go to. No one arguing every minute. And that's all she wants now.
