Chapter 7- The First Attack

The morning was very pleasing and there wasn't much about the sky then what was happening inside the Davenport household. The gang got ready for school and soon dreaded on what's going to happened in the next few hours of that school day.

Adam and Leo could be heard arguing again about their little debate about the dance. That argument started to annoy the rest of the family plus Maria. And so break up the debate, she whistled loud and soon enough Leo and Adam's bickering stopped immediately.
" it's doesn't matter which girl takes you to the dance. Besides the dance is in one weeks time, that plenty enough to asked you guys to the dance" said Maria with a smile as she clapped Leo and Adam on their backs.

Once Mr Davenport dropped them off to school, they all went to their lockers and headed for their first lesson. Maria and Chase kissed each other before heading off.
" see you later" sad Maria
" see ya" replied Chase with a smile, and kissed her on the cheek. At lunch, they all met at the lunch hall, where Maria had already gotten her text books out and was already doing her assigned homework from three different lessons, and one of them was a 3000 word essay on " Bio-Fusion", in which she had already completed in just a bit over with 3010 words.

The Lab Rats and Leo soon joined her at the table and they began eating lunch. Chase talked about this straight A's in all his subjects (apart from Gym though) in which he was very pleased with.
" I've gotten all straight A's which must be a record" said Chase as he sat next to Maria. Adam, Bree and Leo rolled their eyes.
" don't need to make a big deal out of it. At least there's one thing you're not good at and that's Gym" said Bree as she took a bite out of her apple. Adam and Leo nodded in agreement.
" she's right Chase, you're really bad at Gym" replied Adam as he tried to make a stack of french fries into what meant to be the Eiffel Tower. 

Leo soon ate his lunch then got up and went to collect his bag.
" where are you going?"
Asked Chase who was still eating his salad. Leo bite his bottom lip and soon he got a replied with-
" well as you may know I need to meet Jenelle and she'll be waiting for me so I can't keep her waiting, good day" an Leo went strolled off, and as he he left, the rest of them shrugged their shoulders and carried on what they were doing.

The school day finished with reasonable results. The five of them went to their lockers and took out their books and got some put to place in their bags. As they all smiled with gleeful cheers, the last remaining students left the school building, it was aonly the five of them left.
" today wasn't that bad?" Said Bree as she slammed her locker door shut and swung her bag over her shoulders. The others giggled and Chase wrapped his arm around Maria and soon once they were done and ready they headed off. Suddenly, they heard a high pitched scream coming towards their way. It was Leo.
" what's the matter? What's wrong?" Asked Maria to Leo. The he carried on screaming until Adam come up to him and slapped him across the face.
" ow!" Leo said in pain.
" just tell us already, I want to go to bed, I'm tired"
Leo took a deep breath and met them in the eye as they waited upon their response.
" I don't know who they are, but they were dead scary and..." Soon Leo stopped an jumped as he screamed. They all screamed.

It was only Jenelle.
" hey Leo. Hey guys"
" hey Jenelle" replied Adam, Chase, Bree and Maria as well as Leo in unison.
" what's up?" She said.  They rest didn't reply for as they reassured themselves hat it was only Jenelle, the soon saw hooded figures heading towards them. And soon Jenelle said goodbye without saying another word and left through the opened doors.

Soon enough the first attack happened and they felt the ground shake. It was monstrous and so frightening that Adam ran for cover, who was followed by Leo who hide in the same hiding place as Adam. Maria stood firm and so still that she had clenched her hands into fist that her knuckles were turning white and her nails were digging right into her palms. The hooded figures, in groups of about four circled the Lab Rats. Their eyes couldn't be seen but they did smile wickedly.

Chase and Bree were on either side of Maria as they got ready to fight.
" so, this is who you really are? We thought were a guy, but you'll do just nicely" said the hooded and masked figure in the middle. He's laugh was cold and dry. Maria's heart thumped faster against her ribs which began to hurts. A lot.
" what do you want with her?" Asked Chase, as he went in front of Maria. But Maria gently pushed Chase aside and said
" what do you want? Why are you here?"
The hooded and masked figure didn't say a word. They once again just laughed, much more coldly this time.

Adam and Leo soon rejoined the group and Chase made Leo wait by the school entrance to keep guard and wait for Mr Davenport. So as he waited, the rest of them went and moved close to the hooded figures. Then ( the person in the middle) got quo close so that he was facing Maria right in the eyes and smiled. A wicked smile etched on his unseen face.
" you have no idea what you're doing"
And so he stepped back and as the gang  went away and thought it was all over, they thought wrong. Soon enough they heared a cold laugh and somehow Chase was falling to the ground and he seemed to fall with such grace that it took a while for them to notice. Even Maria took at least 2 minutes to realist what happened.
