The days of forgiveness and loss had its fair gain but it was the reunion that made it worth the while. Everything was going back to normal and Maria was doing fine, she and Chase were on good terms and she was on her way to find a job of her own. Linda was forgiven and was welcomed back to the family. Everything was fine and things were making its way back to going to the days of the good old days.
Maria was settling back nicely. She was still recovering but was just fine and doing better. Chase was back to himself with Maria back and being with he's family it's all fine and good and nothing can harm them now. After a while, Maria and Chase got back from their jobs and settled for the movie of The Princess Bride.
" Harry Potter is next" said Maria, a smile formed on her face.
" sure. Always" grinned Chase and they settled down on the sofa and he kissed her on the cheek.
The movie played and it was nearly coming to an end. Chase and Maria were snuggled tightly together, making themselves feel warm. Maria looked into he's eyes and smiled knowing he had found someone who she can tell everything she knows about to and to have someone who cares as well.
" hey Chase, there's something I want to ask you"
" what is it?"
" promise me you'll stay with me, promise me you'll stay by my side till the very end"
" always"
" thank you"
" can you promise me something?"
" never ever forget me again"
" As you Wish" said Maria and leaned in for a kiss. Since then Maria and Chase never broke apart and it stayed that way till the very end.
