Chapter 2- First Warning

The days were going so quickly that it was hard to imagine what was in store for them the next day. The dance in 2 weeks and its in that two weeks that changes everything.
" hey have you gotten a date yet to the Dance?" Asked Maria as she sat down next to Leo who was busy trying to find his homework. He couldn't find it anywhere.
" have you seen my homework?" Leo asked Maria who was giggling to herself, for Leo was searching in the wrong bag. And it lasted a least 15 minutes before Leo actually noticed that it wasn't his bag.

Maria pointed out that it was her bag.
" Why didn't you tell me that ages ago?"
" because... Because it was funny. You've got to admit that" said Maria as soon as Leo started laughing also. That made Maria smile and it was so good to see everything was working out okay. So when they got to school, they found Adam was trying to talk to a random girl.
" hey, I said no cheating," said Leo, who stormed off to have a word with Adam meanwhile, Maria smiled and laughed to herself. When she stopped, she went and sat in the cafeteria and got her things ready on the table.

Soon, Chase and Bree came through the doors. They both sat next to Maria as she was busy writing something in her notebook. Chase went and sat next to Maria and Bree sat opposite them.
"hey, what are you doing?" Asked Bree as she took her stuff out of her bag as well. Maria looked up and smiled.
" oh, I'm just getting ahead of my work. So have you asked anyone to the dance yet?" She asked Bree who, then turned to Chase, who smiled at her. 

Bree thought for a while and it was not long before she thought of something to say back.
"oh, no one yet... And no need to ask you. You've already chosen someone to go to the dance with" she said as she looked from Maria to Chase. Maria didn't know that Chase was beside her, not until he spoke.
" shut up"
This made Maria jump a little and had gotten ink all over her hands. Maria groaned in despair and looked at Chase.
" didn't realise you were there. When did you come in?" She asked as she tried to wipe the ink onto her pleated shirt.

Chase smiled at her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. And wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
" are you okay?"
" Yeah, I'm alright. I just need to be alone for a while... Can you excuse me?" She said as she kissed Chase on the lips and got up and went somewhere for a while. To be alone maybe. Meanwhile, Adam and Leo were outside still arguing about the dare.
" I told you, no cheating. Haven't I already explained this to you already... Oh hey, Maria.."
" Hey, Leo..."

Suddenly, they felt a gust of wind head their way. It was strong and it was getting stronger.
" what was that?" Asked Bree as she came bursting through the cafeteria doors with Chase behind her.
" I don't know where that came from... I just got out here" said Maria who tried to steady herself. They were trying to balance themselves as steadily as them. There was then some sort of shaking underground.

They soon heard voices and these voices weren't friendly. They were hearing random voices in the school corridors. But there was no one there apart from the whole 5 of them. This scared them all and they looked into each other with a scared look on their faces. And without another word, they all screamed and left. But Maria had left her bag in the cafeteria room. This had caused her own secrets to be taken.
