Chapter 10- Losing your Memeory now

Maria was knocked back hard against the opposite wall. She fell to the ground with a loud crash. She couldn't stay awake; her vision was blurry and fuzzy. And soon enough everything went black, from that moment on. There was a moment of silence and for a minute or two, and Chase was on a verge of tears and the man who blasted Maria saw soon laughing, but he seemed to have stopped laughing when he had realized what he has done. Adam had also been feeling shocked as well as confused that he got mad as he had just seen his little brother crying on his sisters shoulders. He maybe stupid but he definitely knows what it feels like to be on the verge of tears.
" HEY!" Shouted Adam, and soon Maria's father turned and faced him. He's expression was in the state of shock. What has he done?
" Please, I can explain.." He tried to say, but Adam stopped him.
" HOW DARE YOU?..."
" Adam... Please, it's not worth it.." said Bree who was holding on to Chase, who was still crying, the pain still overwhelming him. Peter, Maria's father   Was terrified, the fear was too much and without any further communications, he whispered one last time: " I'm sorry, I can explain everything" before disappearing into thin air.

Once he was gone, the trio all headed towards where she had suppose to have lied dead, her eyes shut but soon they opened wondering what  had happened, unaware of the cries of her friends and lover.
" gosh that hurts" she groaned as she tried to sit up, rubbing her head with her hand. Vision still blurry but it's becoming clear now. Chase was the one who got to her first, he gave her a tight hug. And to everyone surprise, Maria frowned and then her eyebrows raised in confusion.
" whoa, mate what are you doing?" , she had pushed Chase off her and starting getting up, tumbling a bit but okay. Chase didn't know what happened?
" what's the matter? Don't you recognise me?"
" dude, I don't know who you are?... Can someone please take him away from me, please... Adam... Bree, do something?"
Somehow, for some weird reason Maria barely knew the guy she had kissed, shared her  secrets to and accepted her for who he is, yet she barely members who he is or was, her face said it all.
" it's okay, he's Chase, you're boyfriend" Bree called, trying to sort this out. Maria gave her another frown.
" Bree you know I don't I have a boyfriend"  and with this statement it soon was a fixed realisation that Maria really didn't know who Chase was, and maybe that this form of Amnesia is forever permanent. Unfixable. 

Maria had never forgotten everyone else, but the only person now missing from her pervious life was her true love.
" let's face it, she is not going to recover from this" Adam said, crossing his arms across he's chest.
" and what is that suppose to mean?" Replied Chase after he's moment of mixed emotions. He had been pacing up and down the living room while Davenport examined her. The wait was too much,he wanted so badly to see her but Leo were given strict orders not to let him in.
" sorry buddy, Davenport's orders" Leo told him as he tried to get into the lab.
" Chase stop. You're going to make yourself dizzy. Besides she is strong, both physical and mentally" Bree calmly said trying to calm him down.
" hey, stop worrying .. It's going to be fine, someday you'll soon move one and maybe find and new one" said Adam. And soon without warning, Chase through one of the pillows towards Adam, hitting him dead centre in the stomach.
" kidding, I was kidding"
" okay, okay guys stop, you stop making fun of Chase" she said turning to Adam. " and you... You are not going to lose Maria"
With this, Chase became more calm, relaxing being able not think of the problems he was dealing with right now.
" you saved me, why ?"
" because, a guy... Once told me that " I'm a hero, I save people"
While they say there , the minutes turned into hours and what seemed like hours felt like days to the bionic heroes. Adam got bored and went to get something to eat. Bree soon followed, so to past the time, she got her phone and  texted her friends. However, Chase was still waiting, waiting for her to just walk through those metal doors and hug him, kiss him like they use to do. Hold hands and their usual habits. But it was going to be a long wait. Soon he's eyes were getting heavy, and he was soon asleep in the armchair.

"   Chase? Are you alright? "
" what's going on?" He muttered awaking from he's sleep.
" hey it's okay, it's just me" the voice was familiar, and it soon struck him.
"Maria... Maria is that you?"
" yeah, it me, why wouldn't it be? She said, as she placed a hand on his faces, then Illinois his lips towards hers. They kiss passionately, yet to Chase the kiss was empty and lacked the usual essential part of what made its special.
" whoa, stop, you're not Mari... "
" why not Chase?... Chase... Who's Chase?" And soon she was fading away; Chase tried to hold onto her hand but she completely vanished from him. Again.

Chase woke up for real this time and realised that Adam and Bree had been staring at him.
" what are you two doing?" He asked getting up knowing that even if the dream was real it wasn't the same. He wasn't very popular but she was everything to him. All the secrets told and memories shared was soon slipping away, and like the dream it was too soon to let go and the future he had with her was now shattered, not knowing to both of m that a love like theirs isn't truly broken unless one of them keeps having having faith. After another minute or so, all three teens were hungry, sleepy, and broad of  waiting. But their hours of waiting would bison be over.
" guys, guys, you can see her now" Leo said after hours of prolonged waiting. Finally , the two lovers can finally  meet each other face to face, a given privacy would be prepared from what was about to come next.
