Damon's jaw was clenched so tight that Hardin was surprised it hadn't broken, he watched as his twins eyes flicked back over to Bella and he took a deep breath.

"Get up." Despite how pissed of he was, his voice was gentle with her, despite his anger right now with the vampire in the room, he wouldn't ever speak to his sister in a rude way.

Bella got up, seeing the way that her brother was barely holding it together. She made her way over to him, trying to smile. "Hi."

"Cliff jumping?" Damon hummed, he pulled a cigarette from his pocket showing it to her. "Next time you want a rush, I'd rather you have one of these than jumping of a cliff, got it?"

Bella nodded. "I won't do it again." She smiled up at him softly. "I just wanted to see him, again. He always appears when I'm doing something..."

"Stupid?"

"Reckless?"

"Idiotic?"

Damon shot Alice a look at her comment, and the vampire pursed her lips nodding her head. "Right, got it. Family moment."

He turned back towards his sister. "I need you to promise me, that your going to stop doing stupid shit."

"I promise."

Damon nodded, he leaned down, placing a hand on her cheek before pressing his lips against her forehead.

He could smell the salt water clinging to her. A reminder that she did this reckless act simply to get her ex boyfriends attention.

Damon pulled away slowly knowing that when he did there was even more issues to deal with.

"You want to take the lead on this one?" Damon looked towards Hardin.

Hardin walked closer. "But you always handle these situations so well." He teased, placing a hand on his brothers shoulder. "Bella's heard enough from me, I told her to stop being stupid in the car."

"I meant the Alice situation." Damon told Hardin nodding his head over to the vampire who sat on the sofa looking between them both.

"I'm sitting right here."

They both ignored her.

"Oh, I'm not taking point on that one, I don't even want to think about her, or even look at her." Hardin said, his head tilting to the side slightly as he ran a hand across the back of his neck.

Damon knew that signs of Hardin being nervous, he knew the tells of his twin when he was ready to explode.

"Okay." Damon took his hand in his own, rubbing his thumb over his knuckles. "I'll deal with her."

Hardin nodded his head moving away from Damon, he went and sat down in the chair.

Alice looked over at him, her face full of sadness as she realised the pain she had caused him.
