Spinning around again

Chapter 2

The day of the party came round soon enough, and I was already panicking 7 hours before it started. Kate was all calm about it, she washed and cleaned her hair and went out to buy a dress before 3pm! I sat staring at the mirror unsure of what to do, how to wear my hair or makeup. I'd already brought a really pretty dress from the charity shop, because I don't have much money. The top was sparkly and went around my neck, then the sparkles finished just under my breast where the dress kinda faded into a beautiful sky blue colour into a deeper shade of blue. The dress it's self wasn't tight but it wasn't to flow. Breathing in I decided to have a long shower. Don't ask why I got so nervous I don't know maybe it was Jack maybe it was because Anna had some how managed to get lots of famous people to come and I was nothing. I let the warm water calm me and let my think. When I'd finished I dried my hair and curled it into little ringlets. Then did some blue eye make up and sweet red lipstick. Then I went to find Kate, Kate was wearing a baby pink dress that like mine had sparkles around the top. It was a short dress that frilled out around her knees. She'd tied her blonde hair into a high pony tail taking out to little bits and then she'd curled them.
"Why are you so scared ?!" Kate said laughing as we left.
We had to travel quite a long way to the party and I was meeting Jack half way there.
"I don't know." I whined
Kate laughed again and pulled me into a quick hug before we clambered into her car.
"Can I just say you look amazing baby!"
I blushed and hide behind my hair.
"Why are you so afraid of your beauty! My baby your so gorgeous you need to let go of the past!" Kate said grabbing my hand. I smiled gratefully at her
"You know I can't do that, it would mean to forget and forgetting means goodbye." I whispered
Kate nodded and smiled at me sadly.
"Let's just have fun tonight Hun and you can go for Jack how bout it!"

I met Jack at his house and drove in his car . He looked great his was wearing a deep blue suit with sparkles around the collar.
"Hey wow you look great like always!" He commented helping me into his car.
"Thanks," I mumbled
We drove to the party quickly and Jack lead me in. Inside Anna's house was beautiful, she'd placed out large vases filled with amazing coloured flowers. Little lights had been placed around the front of the house and around a large metal opening with roses around that. Flower petals had been placed on the floor making a pretty path inside the house.
"It's like prom all over again." Jack commented as we walked inside.
The inside of the house was amazing too with tables and tables of delicious looking food and wines. The tables where covered in a cream table cloth that was laced at the bottom and the chairs where the same. The room was no very packed with people from what I saw most people where outside in the garden.
"Drink?" Jack asked me and I nodded. He handed me a red wine and I sipped it "Elsa?!" Anna cried running towards me and yanks me into a hug. "Oh you guys you always out do everyone else!" She said scowling then she laughed
"Here have this it's much stronger and the wines for my parents!" She said snatching my glass and jacks and placed a funny look colour drink. I took a sip and instantly felt light headed.
"What is that!" I said taking another sip and another."
"Just enjoy it, oh and don't forget to talk to grace helms." Anna said
"Wow hang on you got grace helms to come?!" Jack said shocked
Grace helms is a famous ice skater ( she not I just made that up) that me and Jack have always wanted to met. Anna nodded cunningly.
"Let's just say she owed me some things." Then Anna run off handing people this funny looking drink.
Jack laughed, it was a happy deep laugh that made me melt inside.
"I'm going to talk to her." He said then walked off to find Grace. I felt a lot more light headed so I placed down the drink and say down on a chair. Picking up a strawberry and plopped in my mouth. It was so nice so I took another and another. Jack ran back smiling like a mad person and sat down next to me.
"She said I was cute ! She wanted my number!" He cried waving his hands above his head.
"And you gave it to her?" I choked out.
Jack nodded " Yeah we're meeting up tomorrow !"
Something fell inside of me and I felt sick. My whole body seemed to just give up on me, like it didn't want to go on. My head was spinning and I had this horrible feeling in my stomach. Tears brimmed in my eyes and I wiped them away quickly.
"Are you ok?" Jack asked
I nodded and snatched up the funny looking drink and drunk, the whole thing in seconds. I grabbed jacks and did the same thing. Then I stood wobbling slightly and pushed though the people to grab another. I didn't want to feel like that I wanted to feel nothing because everything inside me felt on fire. I'm not really sure how much I drunk that night, but I know it was a lot. Music started to play and without thinking I started dancing swinging my hips in time to the music. I closed my eyes and lifted my hands above my head and just danced. I let the music take me away and soon enough I felt other people dancing around me. Somebody grabbed my hands and started dancing with me and for once I didn't care. I won't care
