Spinning around again

Chapter 8

I don't have an reason for being late. Please don't kill me. I've made it extra long for you guys! Don't kill me.

The next morning Kate woke me up at 8am saying 'if you want a good day you need to wake up early'. Thanking her in an annoyed voice I climb into the shower and wash my hair. Once I get out I stare down at my belly, nothing seems different but still I feel slightly funny. Placing a hand on my stomach I whisper.
"You and me jelly baby are going to have lots of fun with Kate today," I tell my jelly baby.
Then as if it's responding I'm sick in the loo. Groaning I wipe my mouth and wrap a towel round me and go to get ready. I put on a cute soft red top and then my leather jeans. I brush my hair into a simple up do and then do some pink eye shadow and red lipstick. Kate walks in wearing her cute little green dress with white dots on it,she's do a smoky eye effect and then added some pink lipstick.
"Hi, you look great."she says walking past me into my bathroom probably to nick my toothpaste.
"Thanks you too, Kate I'm going to need to go the doctors soon,"
She mumbles something I don't catch.
"Sorry I've already done that. I've also got your mum coming round next week for two days." She tells me like its total casual.
"Kate!" I cry jumping up and rushing into the bathroom.
"What? I had to ok baby? Now come time to go. Oh you can borrow my leather jacket if you want?"
I sag in tiredness and follow after Kate.
"Yeah ok."
She hands me the jacket and I put it on then I go to get into my heels but Kate pushes them away.
"No heels! Your pregnant!" She says scowling at me.
Sighing I put on some pumps and get my bag.
"Hang on what about breakfast?" I ask
Kate taps her nose smiling and hands me a little bag filled with water and a an apple.
"For the trip. Now go get in the car,"
She tells me pushing me outdoors.
"Yes mum!" I say laughing and saluting, Kate smiles and points to her car. Jumping in I text Jack.
Morning baby.-Elsa
He replies instantly
Hi sweet did you sleep well? Oh I was just wondering when you want to tell everyone?-Jack
Well Kate has invited my mum round next week maybe then? Oh she's also booked me in for the doctors I'll tell you the time if you want to come?-Elsa.
Who is she your secretary? I'd love too xx - Jack.
Kate jumps in the car and slams the door, she turns to me and smiles.
"Let's go!" She squeals and starts the car
Music starts blurring out of the speakers and Kate started singing loudly. Well ok she's screamed the words, shaking her head back and forth. With me screaming at her to watch where she was going. We pulled up at a coasta and Kate ran in telling me to wait in the car. Then she came back with 2 hot drinks and hot food, she piled them on my lap and started driving again this time a little slower. 
"What are we doing today?" I ask sipping on my drink
"Ah today we're going shopping all day then will come back have a lovely cooked meal that I've made. Then we shall watch a movie and have a girl night," Kate tells me as we pull up at the shopping centre
We jump out and hand straight into the first store. Kate almost explodes from happiness, she races around the shop picks up lots things and shoving them into her basket. She's like a little child happy for Christmas really. I lift a hand to my belly and rub it gently. Right now I'm happy, very happy with everything.
"Elsa are you seeing this?!" She squeals shoving dresses all around.
"You need to calm down," I tell her laughing
She squeals loudly and races over to the check out. Then she runs up to me with millions of bags from just one shop.
"What?!" She asks smiling "you think I'd let you see these? No! Theses are your birthday present." She tells me as we walk to the next shop. It's a jewellery shop with so many nice things. I pick out a couple of pretty things that I can afford and pay for them then I wait for Kate. Who yet again is racing around the shop like a crazy person.  This continues to happen in every shop and all I can do is laugh. Where did I find her? At lunch time we head to a nice restaurant that Kate knows and we sit and talk about babies and baby names and what we're going to do with the rooms.
"Um sorry I couldn't help but over hear you talking about baby names," a waiter says handing us the bill
"Oh yes! This one right here ! Pregnant!" Kate tells the man happily
I blush and hide behind my hair.
"Congratulations!" He says smiling at me
"Thank you." I mutter.

Once we've finished shopping we head home throwing all the bags into the back. Jacks car is at the house when we get home.
"Was that you?" I ask smiling
Kate shakes her head confused.
"No that wasn't me. But lets go find out."
We move over to his car and knock on the window. Seconds later he jumps out and I smile but that instantly drops when I see his face.
"Jack what's wrong baby?!" I ask wrapping my arms around him
His been crying and he looks so broken and sad.
"It's... My mum... She..she."he chokes up crying into my shoulder
"Kate open the door for me." I say leading Jack inside slowly.
I gently take to the sofa and sit him down and hand him some tissues.
"Now baby what's wrong with your mum?" I ask rubbing his back gently
"She's ... She's really ill... Dad dad had to take her to hospital... She nearly died..." He whispers
"Oh Jack baby." I mutter feeling truly sorry for him
I pull him into a hug and let him cry into my shoulder.
"Is she still at the hospital?" I ask quietly
I feel Jack nod.
"Ok sweetie do you want to go see her?" I ask
He nods again.
"Ok go get into your car. I'll drive I just need to talk to Kate ok?"
He nods again, looking truly empty and dead as he moves slowly to his car.
"Kate?" I call and her head pops up
"I've got to go out. But I'll be back soon."
"That's ok we'll have the dinner another night.
Then I go to the hospital.
