Spinning around again

Chapter 13

I changed the wedding celebration so it would be after the ultrasound not yesterday.
Today is my first ultrasound and it's probably a bit late but better late then never. I was actually quite nervous that the midwife might say there was something wrong with my jelly baby but I decided that it was better to know now rather then not know I feel very depressed later. Jack was jumping about the place like a child, feeding me things and brushing my hair he won't let me do anything on my own. But it's rather nice so I let him. When 2 o'clock finally comes round I think Jacks going to pee himself but he climbs into the car grinning I can't help but laugh myself as we set off for the hospital. Anna and Kate are staying at home today and I can't say I blame them it's not the nicest weather. Anna said she was going back home tomorrow which I'm kind of sad about, I forget how much I'd missed her. When we arrived the  hospital we signed in and went to sit down. I linked my fingers into jacks and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Are you scared?" He asked gently
"I'm not really sure. I mean I do want to be a mother but it was bit... Unexpected." I muttered
Jack chuckled softly and agreed with me
"It's a good thing we both like each other isn't it?" He said and I smiled
"Elsa?" The midwife called
She was a tall women with mousy brown hair that was cut into a pixie cut cutely. She must have been about 34 but she looked very pretty. I smiled standing and we walked over to her and she lead us into her office. Sitting down she offered us a drink which we declined poliety.
"My name is Lucky, I'm going to be your midwife thought out the nine months and I will also be there at the birth." She said smiling
"Hi I'm Jack." Jack said shaking Luckys hand.
"You must be the father, nice to met you and your Elsa." Lucky said
Then she pulled out some files and books and we got started.
"Right so I'm guessing this is your first child?"
I nodded
"Ok then I'm going to go over the basic things, how everything works, what the births going to be like then we'll go do the ultrasound."
We nodded
"Right...." And she started
She told us all about pregnancy and what was going on with the baby in great detail and she wasn't afraid to tell me it was going to hurt. Then she told us about the birth and the different ways it could be done in which I though I'd like to have a water brith. After her long talk she then lead us into the ultrasound room and she got me to lay down on the table. I swished Jack's hand as she applied the jelly and then moved the machine around. After a few seconds she pointed and said
"Look," and there our baby was. So small and cute. "I can't tell the sex just yet as she's rather quite small but she looks health and the right size for 10 weeks."
"It's been ten weeks?" I said shocked smiling
Lucky smiled at us and I couldn't help but feel giddy.

We arrived home later to find Anna and Kate sitting on the sofa sipping hot chocolate smiling and giggling. I couldn't help but feel like something was going on in their heads and hearts.
"Hey lovebirds!" Kate called "How's the baby?"
"Healthy and happy!" I called back going into the kitchen and flopping down onto the bar stool and rested my head on my hands tiredly. Jack came in behind me and wrapped his hands around my waist kissing my neck gently.
"Stop it you." I mumbled spinning around and cupping his face looking his pale blue eyes smiling.
His lips curl up into a smirk and he leans in ever so slowly bringing our lips together and I can't pull away. His hands pull me into his more and soon he's picking me up. I wrap my legs around his waist and beg him for more kisses which he gives me happily without complaining. I'm not sure how long we where kissing for but when we pulled apart I was breathless and giggling, I kept doing that lately. I was just so happy.
"I love you." Jack murmured sweetly
"And I you." I replied unwrapping my legs and stepping onto the floor "Help me with dinner?" I asked
Opening the fridge and pulling out the vegetables and noddles.
"Sure." Jack replied and clicked his phone into the speakers and Pompeii started to play loudly.
I chopped the vegetables while Jack cooked the noddles.
"I think Something is going on between Kate and Anna." I said putting the vegetables into the pan
Jack thought about this for a second
"I didn't know they where lesbians ( I don't discriminate and no one else should!)" he said after a while musing the idea
"Neither did I." I said
"Well if something happens it happens if it doesn't it doesn't." Jack said shrugging
I nodded totally happy for anything to happen. Honestly all I care about is their happiness and if being together makes them happy then I'm happy too.

After dinner and shower me and Jack climb into our warm bed and snuggle up leaving the lights on so we can talk.
"Your going to be a mum." Jack says softly stroking my hair
"I know your going to be a dad isn't that crazy?"
There was silence for a while, a comfortable silence and then Jack suddenly said rather loudly
"What if she doesn't like me?!"
I thought for a moment and then said
"If she doesn't like you I'll be surprised."
I heard Jack smile as he kissed my cheek softly and rubbed my belly humming into my ear.
