Thragg was pleased.
Not only had Nolan's transmission confirmed that Earth's strongest heroes were dead, but that his daughter was more than happy to begin serving the empire as soon as they arrived. Nolan had said they'd need to bring one of their music ensembles in order to keep her subservient and loyal. But that was not an inconvenience in the slightest.
Nolan had sent out his final confirmation of Earth's readiness two weeks ago. However, since a planet rarely ever submitted without protest, Thragg had dispatched Conquest to fly ahead and be ready for today. For right now, at this moment, on this day, Thragg was expecting another transmission from Omni Man.
The transmission assuring that Earth's remaining resistance had fallen.
Thragg looked up from his throne as a familiar figure walked into the room and bowed.
"Good day, Regent," General Kregg reported. "We have just received word from Conquest that he is currently standing by at a safe distance from Earth. Should anything go wrong with Nolan's plan today, Conquest will assist him immediately.
"Excellent," Thragg said. "Begin readying our fleet in the meantime. Even if the inhabitants of Nolan's world somehow manage to ward off him and Conquest, we will be more than happy to enact revenge."
"Of course, Regent," Kregg nodded, departing the throne room to complete his task.
Thragg was more than ready to do anything it took to add more planets to his empire. The Scourge Virus had nearly caused Viltrumites to go extinct, and now, only fifty pure-blooded Viltrumites remained to keep the empire secure. The sooner more planets were made to join the empire, the sooner the Coalition of Planets could be silenced once and for all.
The sky of Viltrum glowed with a perfect blue, and the majesty of the mountains graced Thragg's palace with their regal presence. The Viltrum Empire may have been weakened.
But its tyranny was far from over.

"I don't give a shit about Viltrum!" Invincible yelled as he looked Omni Man...his father...in the eye. "These are my people! This is my home, and I won't let you destroy it!"
"You don't even know what you're saying, son," Omni Man sighed. "I can't let you interfere."
"I know exactly what I'm saying," Invincible replied, wiping away his last tear as he raised his fists.
"Then so be it," Omni Man nodded.
Nolan gave his son one final look, then made his first strike. His true plan revealed and his agenda unmasked, Omni Man twisted around behind Mark and punched him square in between the shoulder blades, sending Mark spinning end over end down into the ground below. Mark's body formed a giant crater as it impacted into the ground, and he struggled to refill his lungs with enough breath to stand. That's when Invincible felt his father land behind him, and his heart filled with enough rage to recover what he had lost in stamina. Screaming with a mighty rage and scraping his right fist through the dirt, Invincible threw a punch at Omni Man's face with the strength he could summon. But Omni Man caught it with ease as he stared at his son in stern, calculated disapproval.
The catch of Mark's punch was the precise pause Kaori needed to make her entrance. And enter she did.
Invincible's eyes grew wide in confusion and terror as he looked to his right to see a teenage girl (she must've been only 3 years younger than him), dressed in his father's color scheme, rocketing towards him with a twisted expression of anger as she raised her fist.
